I think it's because most people turned it off when they played 0.1, i know i did. The Dev made a post IIRC saying how it's not really worth it as of now, so maybe he will come back to it one day.

And honestly back then i didn't really want to say anything since i can just easily turn it off. But the problem is VA in these type of games sounds great in theory, but in practice i have yet to see it work tbh. It's not easy being a good voice actor and a lot of the times the voices don't match the character or their personality and seeing as these are fairly low budget games you are not gonna hire the best voice in business, you aren't even going to hire the mediocre ones if i am being honest...

What i suggested to DrPinkCake and i would suggest to other Devs is go with moans and sex noises during sex scenes rather than voice acting in general. There are a few games that did this and it honestly made the sex scenes better for me than just complete silence or some music blasting over it.

For instance in one of the first scenes in 0.2 Quinn mentions to you how if it wasn't for this party music blasting in the house you could hear the sex sounds of your dick sloshing in her pussy. And i am like YES, that would actually be great to hear that together with her moans, it elevates the scene to another level IMO.

The reason is another , i copy up a Ignatz post that i wrote already in the previous post :"The voice acting has been removed until the game is completed. There are a number of reasons, chief among them the concern that if one of the voice actors was unavailable or lost, it would seriously impact releases of the game. "

Voice acting would work if they most of the time didn't sound so fake. If they would capture emotions and such, and if the voice actually fits the character, then it would be great.
If a character is having an outburst, then match the voice acting with it, sound angry and sound authentic.
Same with moans and all, even in real porn it sounds fake as shit, it's a major turn-off as far as I'm concerned, so cringe-y :p

Yea, that would be a pain in the ass if the VA was unavailable for personal reasons, the development of the game would suffer.

Anyway if people wanna know how effective sex sounds can be in these games, just play Family Venture and get the blowjob scene from a cheerleader in the school. It's amazing.

i despise voice acting in porn games..because...the writing in this game is far and away nth levels above any porn movie ever made..but..when voices are added..it brings it down closer to the porn movie level..because frankly..they are not award winning performances..lol...i play this as a quality graphic novel that i am allowed to interact with..and part of my interaction is my imagination...and Jill sounds like Jaclyn Smith,Isabella sounds like Evangeline Lilly,Sage sounds like Ann-Margret(i'm old remember) Maya sounds like Sarah Michelle Gellar,and Josy sounds like Kate Beckinsale(doing a north american accent) so..ya..my imagination is better than voice acting ;)

I can forgive that part involving the VA for now anyway, the story is just picking up and this is an awesome way to kick off my birthday weekend.

Well I'm working on my game and I've decide to add voice acting myself. I feel like voice acting can really bring out the personality in many of the characters. I only have one voiced sex scene which is a blowjon scene and fully voiced. I got a pretty good amount of people who said they enjoyed the scene. I'm hoping to have another scene voiced sometime next month.
