Joke is over
As I said, just go to the patreon and you will get the free link for the censored version. I did not download from the other sites but the archive on svs has the same name as the free version so it might be just that

It is shity public build.
In addition, I see that despite the announced optimization, the game in comparison to version 12.03.19 continues to freeze fps like hell ;//////////

12.03.19 build walked smoothly at max details in 30 fps, now unplayable :(

12/03/2019 is an old version, you can download the new version Build 2019.05.03 #4 on op and change the censored type in game settings

It is shity public build.

Yes, the May update has significantly lower FPS, but it does not make it unplayable. Before starting, lower settings, walk over to the ship, turn off everyone that you don't currently want, turn settings back up and you should be fine (maybe still not the same as before but no serious lag). It's just a sex sim at the moment, so disabling characters to increase performance doesn't affect anything at this point. Might be a bit of an inconvenience but no more so than reading all the posts complaining about performance (...just saying). I by no means have a stellar computer, but I'm not about to let something like a bit of lag prevent me from playing this game...especially when they've been kind enough to provide a way to work around it.
I have to say though that adding background elements like fireflies and dust blowing around, while they may look nice, ultimately just hinder performance. Maybe not much but every bit counts with graphics of this quality and the game constantly expanding. Personally, I could do without those little details...would rather they just add those elements to a nice opening video scene or something if they really want them in there. I understand their goal is to create something truly exceptional though, and the end result will be amazing...whether some of us will be able to play it or not. But, we'll probably all be due for a new computer by that point anyway, so maybe it'll even out.

I think the reason why performance has taken such a huge hit is because they are:

1. Not using mipmaps. The idea behind mipmaps is that the farther something is away, the smaller their texture resolution size should be as you'll not notice most of the details anyway. So, to illustrate with an example:
-> If you used mipmaps, then up close it would be say 1k texture (1024x1024). Then when you walk say 10 meters away, it now uses the 0.5k texture (512x512), then at 20 meters away the 0.25k texture (256x256). I don't think they are using mipmaps, so at 20 meters away, everything will still be a 1k texture.

2. Not using draw distance controls. If you don't use them, then it will always try to draw / render things at maximum distance.

3. Not using Occulsion Culling. This is a render technique that only renders things that a player can see. If you aren't using it, it renders everything conceivably in your viewport, based on the direction you are facing and the draw distance from the player. Example:
-> If there is a hill, with plants on the other side of the hill, with Occulsion Culling on, the game will not render those plants until you can see them. If it is off, it will render them, even if you can't see them.

4. Their post-processing effects are poorly designed. With UE4, you want fewer particle generators, as these are super expensive, computationally... can have them produce as many particles as you want, but it is the number of generators that kills framerate. Instead of having one particle generator for the entire forest to generate the fog, there is a generator every couple meters.

5. The size of the game hasn't increased considerably. So I'm thinking they are procedurally generated the plants at runtime, rather than having them fixed ingame, built into the maps. This causes a massive performance hit.

Those are the likely culprits...
