I know he is not milking. I just don't think the animations and the other technical changes will make Offcuts better. People like Offcuts because of cute art and excelent writing. So the paths for other girls are the best way how to make one of the best adult games even better.

This is a passion project made as much for himself as for you, he works on and of and when he wants, on the things he wants. And since he is not charging anyone for anything. He can take all the time he wants.
(would I personally want it to go faster, sure!)
I don't think he is in a hurry to finish the game, or if he is even going to make another one after, this is clearly not his main focus in life.

I dont complain (bc I dont pay^^) and he seems to be fair to his backers, but his deadline/target management sucks

Now and then when I have a look at the top of my game list I see this game and have a look for a new release ^^

When I remember correctly the 0.2 release was around 9 month ago? ... It is just sad, because this is such a fun game. The good thing is, that it is a finished main story with some endings already in it

What is really funny is that people, always come up with "but he cancels the payments". No one said anything about milking people are just not happy that updates always get delayed and its understandable that they are not happy with it because they think the game is great. If it wouldn't be no one would give a shit if the update takes another month or 10 years.

So stop to point out that he doesn't take peoples money if someone complains, we all know that. Its just that not everyone likes to hear that the update doesn't come out month after month.

I can say for myself that i stopped waiting for an update. When it comes it comes and if not then not.

You have never any claim because you DONATE the money on patreon and you don't buy any properties of the game or novel.

But i get what people want to say when they come up with "he cancels payments" as only option to defend the permanent delays. I just wait until they wake up and forget to wear their pink glasses.

True, its a crappy defense people use every time something not overly positive is written. People are upset because the last update was 10 months ago. Regardless of the reasons that is an insane amount of time to wait for anything. Sure another defense tactic is "play another game there are plenty" That's not the point we want to play THIS game that is the problem.

Three days left.

I spent the whole weekend hunting down and fixing some scripting and display bugs. Finally, I decided to write a static script checker to make the entire process easier, faster and hopefully more reliable than my eyeballs. The game script is now long and complicated enough that manually testing and checking it at this point takes days and is painful, so after using the default Ren'Py linter, I decided to finally write some new custom tools to check the script a bit better. Another minor delay, but this shouldn't take that long anymore once I get the script up and running. Expect the 0.3 release late Wednesday or early Thursday.
