It's starting to sound like a hardware/OS issue than a problem with MotH. I use the same OS as you, so I can safely say it's not an issue with your game. It's likely you may have corrupt sectors on the hard drive, so when you try to access a file that is located on a bad sector, it will crash. I would recommend running ScanDisk with the following options selected: (see screenshot). You will need to restart your machine to allow the scan to take place.
Another option would be to run the game from another machine (if you can) to see if the same problem occurs.

Work on her laptop read some emails in order 2.3.2
Make sure you read it in that order otherwise you will have to repeat
until you get it right.

Hello there. I am also bothered by an incident that was discovered by Ashley and Claire while playing and passing the game. Will these events be extended with any new animations and scenes, or rather not?

If you mean CFC (Crazy Fat Chick), you can "take one for the team" at Masquerade (if you're brave enough - lol). Although you won't actually see that scene with her in it though..

I'll try what you said, but could you answer one thing? If the problem were on my computer, would version 0.9.6 also be a problem? Vell known.

Theoretically, no. If you were able to play v0.9.6 previously without any problems, then you should also be able to play v0.9.7. However, we've explored all options, even one that should have worked in your case and it's coming back to the same issue. It crashes during runtime and there's no explanation that I can think of as to why, much less a viable solution to the problem. You could look at your event logs (in Event Viewer) to see if there's anything related to MotH that may give an indication as to what the problem is, but that's a long shot.

Yeah, a lot of us use windows 7 here without issue. The only thing I can think of is to try redownloading from another host and extracting it to another folder, somewhere else...
Did anything else change since you played the 9.6 update? Does it still run now?
Saturday 1000 That's 10 AM Peek through the keyhole spy or whatever and watch the scene.
