Hrms. Yet the population is in decline....*strokes chin*
Well maybe they actually need a new broodmother even more as a strapping lad, could that have something to do with one of Trisha's obsessions?

As an aside, so sad that the level of Bioware games dropped so much after Dragon Age Awakening, still remember Baldurs Gate with great fondness,

Their newer games aren't half as sexy as the later ones. They just try too hard to be inclusive *and* keep certain consumer organizations satisfied. If you ask me: Mass Effect 1's scene with the consort is still the hottest scene of the entire series.

What, you didn't like all-inclusive Andromeda!? You cisgenre white male chauvinistic misogynist egotistical pig! It is of no importance that the plot was all over the place, the characters uninteresting and frankly ugly, the MC empty as a fridge at the end of the month, if you didn't like Andromeda, you're a nazi!

Heil?

*played it for two hours, gave up*

The thing that so annoyed me was the layout of the ship for a start. Utterly illogical *stops herself ranting*

Nothing in this game was good! I mean, for a non-mass effect game, it could have been ok, but there were expectations! I'm glad I "stumbled upon" the game ahoy mates instead of putting money in it.
If anyone were to ask me, the only true heir of Mass Effect is Heavy Five. It just need more blue women. And Garrus.

Well, they did something right in Andromeda: they brought back overheat guns in a more proper manner than in their ME3 attempt. Stil, I finally completed the game only 2 weeks ago, and I had it since launch. I just completely lost interest within a few weeks while still somewhere on Kadara..

I did a few planets, met the locals, understood that they were only two races in the whole fucking galaxy, learned that in fact, they were one and the same in a shocking revelation (shocking because it was lazy, not because it was unexpected), and this was my last reaction:

Yup, Mass Effect had greatly written characters that all had something interesting to offer (except you, Jacob, ugh) and a plot that everyone didn't love but I did. Greatly. The romance added spice and the banter between protagonists was just fucking gold. Doesn't it remind you of something?

It's all that "great idea" of advancing the storyline by 600 years, moving into a new vibrant rich galaxy consisting of whopping two new alien species. And let's forget about each race having unique culture. Why not have turians and asari behave like 20th century humans? Same species couples? Outrageous, there must be racial diversity everywhere.

There are some good storylines in between all the cringeworthy stuff, but it sure takes a lot of patience to enjoy them.

Yeah I agree Mass Effect had still just enough of the Old Bioware to be good, since then though every game has been a disappointment. Somehow since then they lost their soul and their heart.

Well, about the losing soul and heart part, let's not forget that the original ending of ME3, before they tried to fix it, was "pick a color, *whoosh*, buy DLC now". Fortunately, all was forgiven when Citadel DLC came out.
