How many times I need to say that patreon page no longer exists, and I will try to create my own art and replace it. I understand the "stolen art" argument, but being in a pirate forum using the argument of "stolen something" is just hypocrite.
But anyway, I no longer own this thread. I deleted all the links and images, but someone took over and replaced my own links and images.
I will continue to develop the game, but keep it to myself till I get my own art.
But then again, I understood what most of you where complaining, and I will change what I did wrong. And once again, thanks for the feedback

Yes but what would be piracy is all the other non patreon japanese hentai games which are pirated. Lets not pretend like this isn't a pirate site. And it does come off as hypocritical to pirate a game then complain about someone stealing "pirating" art.
It is silly to assume, that we lost all rights to complain about asset flips like this since "stealing art is somewhat similar to stealing games" except we know exactly who created the games we download and are therefore able and encouraged to support them financially.
Expecting quality content isn't hypocritical, my dude. Don't be so narrow-minded :)

unlike a lot here I couldn't give a monkey's nuts about what art and whose.
what I DO give a monkeys about is the lies.
I downloaded this because of the tags. to then not see any content for those I downloaded it for is a disgrace.
tags are for the content NOT for whatever maybe in the future.
there is a whole big OP where possible content for the future can be described and tags can be added as and when they become appropriate. if it was tagged correctly I would have never even bothered.
didn't this site have rules about this very thing? im pretty sure I did see a mod pointing this out in an old feed some weeks ago

This is simply inaccurate, porn has long been classed through the lens of 'parody' anyway whether you disagree with it or not. But just because you've decided on what's 'transformative' and isn't, doesn't really matter does it? In the legal sense, it is extremely broad as to what actually qualifies, and this is little more than your opinion on what 'transformative' should be, and that probably wouldn't hold up in a court of law.

Tell me, are you going to contact DC to file a takedown for this? I'm fairly sure Pornhub profits from these vids after all.

No, you won't, because even though those characters have been directly 'ripped' you understand the scenario and how absurd it is, that's the 'parody', the scenario the characters have been thrust into, not the characters themselves.
(edited because I was in a hurry posting this had somewhere to be)

Last thing I'll say this video is obviously a parody it can also fall under fair use for being cosplay this isn't even a remotely similar comparison. But most porn games aren't like that. The plot takes itself seriously in these porn games. It's more of a what if scenario or a this is what this characters sex life would be, that is not parody.

As for the reason why a company wouldn't go after a porn game it's the same reason blizzard only went after the biggest wow private server. The others weren't big enough or popular enough and didn't make enough/ or any money. Porn is even worse because there's so much of it being made that it is hard to stop. Not to mention the owners of the IP would have to sit down with their legal defense and actually play through the game to find out if it's parody or not and if it falls under fair use. Then the judge would have to go through it as well and possibly even the jury if it goes to a jury trial. This is a niche market most people view people who watch cartoon porn as degenerate or weird because they don't understand it and haven't encountered it. If you really want to find cases this has already been ruled on in the post where I sited a article though there's not many cases use the old google machine and u will find them.

here is the actual case

Half of these cartoon games characters are underage. Want to see how judges rule on cases like those? Check this case out a man convicted of CP for the use of loli manga. . Good luck explaining that to a judge and jury while you are arguing that it's fair use. And trying to explain how it's ok because we put a disclaimer that everyone is 18 even though they are clearly not.

Read my long post on this I said judging it based on quality is a valid reason. People who pirate are stealing from the content creators. You can support the games you pirate but let's be honest for 90% or more of them you don't. You have to right to say or think whatever you want but it is hypocritical to judge people stealing when you yourself are stealing. My main point is don't try to disguise it as a morality issue when what you are doing is a morality issue. You have an issue with the quality or something else, attack it on that it's fair. But you are 100% a hypocrite if your main or only issue is the morality of it. If you are a game dev or someone who doesn't pirate you are completely justified in attacking it on morality. Just make sure if you want to take the moral high ground you are actually standing on high ground and not the same level as the people you are attacking. Here is the actual post if you care to read what I actually said.

The difference of course is that a parody CREATES something that is clearly reminiscent and identifiable as the original - it doesn't just steal the original. Pornhub isn't using actual clips of DC movies because boohoo the creator can't use a camera of their own, or whatever pathetic excuse might be used. Yes, the porn Parody is a long, long tradition going back many decades. I think the first I recall was Flesh Gordon, long before the advent of the Web.

Games like "Something Unlimited" can (at least make a good try to) claim parody. It uses DC characters aplenty, but it lampoons them and their universe. Where other games have simply 'borrowed' characters, but not added the humorous twist of parody, frankly those devs have often been warned that I have seen.

Wow this dev is super toxic.
A) Replies with literally copy and paste messages to individual comments,
B) Fail to read or comprehend other people's messages,
C) Insults people with A for B, and pretends they're the ones who don't understand, and
D) Acts like he's the victim in all this.

Even if you did everything right, you'd lose patrons because of your attitude. Maybe fix that up first?

Why to even upload a game what will never get finished or get onhold after just one day?

If you notice, the thread is no longer mine.
The reason to be "on hold" is because I will try to do my own art, and replace the existing one.

The author shared to me his/her side of the story, and he/she did ask for permission. However, knowing authors like Melkor, it will take time for them to reply due to the fact that maybe they're busy with their personal life. Some may still call it stolen content, but at least the author of this game asked for permission, compared to your usual authors who just rip off content and not ask permission at all. I still respect that

I already suspended patreon page, but will continue to developed the game. Just keep it to myself for now.
Didn't know that there were so much hypocrisy in this type of forums. Such a shame...

Thanks for your help, I will talk to them.
Hypocrisy?

There is a difference between pirating a game for personal enjoyment and stealing someone else's work to make money from it.

The major difference is if we enjoy something we can then support that dev, you'd still be making money from someone else's effort.

No hypocrisy here, just people calling out your bullshit.
