I don't think his sponsors and partners would like that very much. Youtube doesn't really bring in the greens as it used to, so most creators on the platform need added sponsors etc if they want to do it full time. Well, except, really big ones, like Felix.
And tbh, if a serious eye was put on adult games on Patreon.. .I think Cloud Meadow and SummerTime saga would probably received a lot more scrutiny due to the numbers they pull and what the supporters actually get back from it. And not to forget all the drama that would get created by all the fetishes found in all these games, rape, incest, etc etc. No one would just single out GD in such a piece, it would be like drop a soaked diaper at adult creators on Patreon.
There is some "early access" one man bands on steam that put all of these to shame, looking at what they create and pump out of regular updates, and with much less funding.
There is no real "adult industry/platform" for adult games, which is why quite a few creators on Patreon able to drag people along with slow updates and mediocre releases. And most just doesn't care, because they will throw money at whatever get their fix. See people clap their hands like damn monkeys for 10 minutes content, and then have to wait 2-3 months to next update for another 10 mins.

He's a weird guy that gets off on looking for arguments so that he can try to feel like he's superior to others by pointing out what he thinks is hypocritical or by pointing out why an argument is flawed. He's that person that's all like "X sucks but the people complaining about X are no better". No, the post was about pointing out, people have the freedom to do stupid shit, like support, and spend on whoever and whatever they want. And no matter how much hate you spew on people for doing it, you can't change any without deal with the reason WHY they are spending, supporting, voting on and so on. I bet even you have spent money on or supported stuff I would find stupid as fuck, and it's still alright, because its your right to do so without people breath down your neck and tell you are "so and so" for doing it.

There's a difference between spending your money on stupid shit and being a victim to a scam artist. If I was a victim to a scam artist and someone pointed out to me I'm being scammed out of my money I'd probably thank that person instead of complaining about them breathing down my neck. On the other hand you're breathing down on everyone's neck for pointing out GD's scummy behavior and the blind faith of his supporters. I have one last question.
