Thanks! So this is what I’m interested in about how people experience the story: That ending’s pretty standard island survival, right? So were you at all thrown when you hit a route that involved

Also, did you have a favorite or least favorite ending, or character?
I was! I really liked how the radio messages - well, everything about the radio messages, really. I guess Weiss' end stands out in that regard, but really none of the endings were so satisfying that I wanted that one to be the truest end... But every time I got an ending, it made me want to get another one.

As far as characters, I liked MJ

I would've liked it if achievements had been actually tracked, and maybe a CG gallery or some other way of tracking completion.

but yeah I understand it's not a fully finished polished game, so.

That’s one of the pitfalls of how I wrote this game, I’m finding. You might get every ending and not realize there were other versions of the same ending you never saw. But I chose to define an ending as the final fate of the MC, even if different choices along the way could give a different ending to a supporting character.

Thinking about it, I should really look into those ideas you mentioned about ways of tracking completion.

Thanks again for the feedback, and I hope you can write a review sometime!

I went through and compiled a full walkthrough for everyone who is struggling. I did not do the thing a lot of VN walkthroughs do and use the save system to keep track of branching paths, instead each path is given a full walkthrough separately. This is useful for people who only need one or two more paths to finish, but it can also be used to start from a blank file and get all the endings in rapid succession (CTRL key is your friend in this situation).

These paths are not the only way to reach a given ending, but I tried to find simple ways with the least number of choices to reach each ending. This game is amazingly put together, and trying to figure out every branch and every little change to each ending would be a gigantic amount of work. I just want to say that Saberoge did a fantastic job on this game.

Not much in the way of notes is necessary. About the only thing that might confuse people is that I just call the renameable native girl Native. Also, keep in mind that there are scenes you will miss following this guide. For instance, when you meet Weiss, you can answer "Let her go" in order to see a scene with three girls in the spring. This guide never takes that path as it meets up with the same path as going with Weiss only with more choices to confuse people.

And now, here's a completed save. Unzip it into your game directory so that the persistent file ends up at
<GameDirectory>\game\saves\
You may also need to put the persistent file at
C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\boat-1517739411\
Since I don't know which place Ren'Py loads from if the files don't match.
Keep in mind that the only thing this unlocks is ending replays as there is no gallery.

Also, I attached a text version of the above walkthrough so it's easier to read in a text editor.

There is also a route named The End If you name the native girl at the start of the game as Nalani, this route dont have any choices

Strange how some of the choices just zip you back to the main menu without an ending. Like the portal thingy. Wut.

Also please let there be a path where I beat the crap out of flagman. That's not how the discovery doctrine works!

That’s shaping up to be one of the most challenging parts of the game, but there is an answer to that “Wut” if you examine it closely, I promise.

I suppose I should’ve known going in that one of the risks of writing a bootleg erotic sci-fi comedy game was possibly offending people’s deeply held beliefs about colonialism. Well, you live, you learn.

I finally got through all the endings. Pretty good. A bit disappointed there was no happy dom+ both MJ's raising their daughter together end though.

This was actually very enjoyable. Far more than I expected and glad I gave it a try. Considering the type of game it was the characters and plot were somewhat compelling, certainly above a lot of professionally made VN's.

First end I got was Weiss end which actually turned out to be one of my least favourite. Ending I most enjoyed was New Beginning after watching it from Nalani's perspective first.
Favourite characters were Nalani and Renee which is surprising to me considering how little screentime she had. MJ and Melendy were good as well.

Anyway congratulations on managing to make a fairly complex game as a solo effort and releasing it fully completed. Not many achieve the same.

Thanks! It’s always nice to know somebody enjoyed my game.

I gotta admit, it’s my least favorite, too. Though on the plus side, writing it and feeling like it was An Ending Too Far was how I knew to stop adding endings and wrap up the game for release.

On the other hand, I was also worried Renee was a character who worked better in theory than in practice, so I’m glad people seem to be liking her.

Yeah hi! Adore the writing and all that. But I need a walkthrough. And yeah I know "Experience it at your own pace and rewarding fulfillment(in more ways than one)" and all that, but I only have 3 hours a week to whack it. In which time I can go at least thrice (If im lucky! It can take up 30 mins to whack it once and rest periods can get even longer) cuz..............ya know.....haven't whacked it in a week. It's nowhere near enough time to experience everything. Got only 2 endings in like an hour or so too.

EDIT: Found it!

Released a minor update to fix a couple small bugs and mistakes in the script today, and took the opportunity to make a few other minor tweaks. The only major changes in this version are a revision to make the path to Weiss’ End clearer, and a ‘Next Choice’ button on the quick menu at the bottom that takes you to the next decision point, so nobody has to zip through dialogue anymore. (As it turns out, that option was always available if you right clicked ‘Skip’, but this should be more intuitive. I mean, I didn’t even know that option was there until I did this build.)

So since about 9pm last night (currently about to be 5am) i went thru this entire game and i have to say, its been one hell of an enjoyable ride. First ending i achieved was the weiss ending, no apostrophe, and best girl would have to be the native hands down. Fantastic work Saberoge, thanks for this very entertaining work. Worth missing a night's rest imo

Thanks! Did you have a favorite ending out of all of them?

How long does this game take from start to finish if you read most (like 90%) of the unread dialogue and perhaps 20% of the already-read dialogue?
I want to play it because it seems light-hearted and funny and reviews say the story is good too.

Is there a "guide" as in "You don't get all the story and endings but if you play these 4 routes you get a solid story that makes sense, then perhaps try those 3 routes" etc. Because from the number of words, this seems like 300 pages of text to read in whole.

What next ?
From me, you mean? Good question. Probably nothing soon, this took forgoddamnedever.

I did have a crazy idea to do a sex-free sequel based off Good End where

But that’d probably spin out of control just as fast.

Honestly, I think I’d rather co-write something with someone who could handle the art assets side of things, since that’s never gonna be my strong suit. Anybody know if someone’s looking for a writer whose strengths include dialogue, characterization and complex story structure, and weaknesses include sex scenes and knowing when to stop adding story branches?

It shouldn’t take that long, now I’ve added the Next Choice button in v1.0.1. That should warp you directly either to the next decision point or any new dialogue. One guy said he got all the endings in about eight hours. Honestly, I’m curious myself how long it’s taken people to get through the game.

A plot-based guide, huh? Well, if you’re asking me, I’d go with No End (2) first to raise the major questions, then Mytharc End, True End and God End should answer most of them while being mostly distinct stories. Being plot-heavy, those might not be the most light-hearted and funny of the routes, but there’s still plenty of comedy in there.

I’d also recommend Hollywood End because it justified the whole project for me, Good End for character closure, and New Beginning, which is just one of my favorites. Also…
