Eh...We aren't though. I mean, you are once the whole thing comes to light, yes, but we're forced into that shit from the start, and it's really fucking shoddy writing, especially considering some of the options you're given.

Here's an example of a playthrough :

I warn you, this is really, really, really fucking LONG (that's what she said). Like, set aside a bit of time if you want to bother reading it. It took fucking forever to write too, but whatever, the weather ruined my plans for the evening anyway. I've broken it up into Episodic chapters to hopefully make reading it a bit easier. And yes, I realize this topic is now hours old. Sorry. It seriously took way longer to write than I thought, but I was committed to finishing by the time I realized how much time had passed.

tl/dr : There never was a relationship, we're forced into this weird twilight zone quasi-dating crap by bad writing. I suspect DPC realized he wrote himself into a corner with this crap and Ep4 was essentially him writing his way out of it.

Holy shit, dude! Mad props for your devotion to your head Canon! I totally agree with you on at least one point. I think there should have been the option to kick them both to the curb. I was playing as MC being basically in love with both and conflicted about making the best decision and their betrayal basically breaking him. I might do a playthrough for kicks where he did a complete 180 at this point from chick route to dik route. Don't know how satisfying that would be since we'd miss a fair amount of content by that point...

One observation: we're playing a "choose your own adventure" not writing our own story. There are certain structures of the narrative that are hardwired. If you make choices that mess with that structure, obviously it's going to screw with a sense of coherency. That doesn't constitute bad writing!

Cheers!

DPC choices ;) They have both been poorly done. As we discussed yesterday the biggest mistake was not having them as separate Li's.
If that's your issue I think this will change at some point. At least it can be fixed in the next episodes. My issue is with them rejecting you based on DIK score and not on your actions/personal score. If DPC wanted to close that route to DIKs he could have done that in other ways. That is impossible to fix.

That's not news. DPC did the same thing in AL. The MC is forced into the main LI (can't remember the name) and there is never an option to be only with her friend, MC has to share the bed with both at best.

I can't see it being fixed anytime soon Maya and Josy are going to be together for the long run I can see it lasting up until season 3 you know how he likes to drag out a storyline. Well with regards to the Dik score I'm going to say this probably won't be the last we have issues with the Dik score personally that's my least favourite thing of the whole game.

Well, no matter which girl you've chosen, just stick with her and fight for her till the end.
Sometimes you have to go through hell to get to heaven.
And the end of BaDIK isn't anywhere near, as far as we know.
besides,as you pointed out before...
