That sounds like you haven't run InitSetting first. It will make registry entries to tell the main program where to look for everything.
Run it once to set your screen size and quality then start the game. From then on you can use the AI-Syoujyo file to start the game as normal.

============
I've been looking through the translation files to see if I can clean them up a bit.
Gods! Most of it makes Yoda look like an English Scholar! The help lines are complete gibberish.

This could take a while...
Thank you very much for responding! Indeed it was!

I tend to stay away from Wikis, as I trust them as far as I can throw my car. I've seen too many of them edited by people that are so full of it that their eyes turned brown.

I did find it on Mirriam-Webster: n. "the art or practice of cooking. "
So it is a noun, but describes an action and not an object or place.

Calling it a "cookery" makes about as much sense as calling it a "cooking"... It's a kitchen. Even the loading screens call it that, but it looks as if it got changed later. The storage, at least around my neck of the woods, should be called a pantry.
What cookery also can stand for as a noun is the cooking area - especially in American English.

Here we go, todays update. Nothing seems to break modwise, so full pack should drop sometime today, but will give it more testing before going that far :BRRelaxed:

Well.. You can contrib to the wiki. But you do get that it's also based on the translation.

AND

it is pretty comprehensive and clear about things.
I have been UNABLE to find ANYTHING better EXCEPT reading the 150 pgs here.

Have a great night. And Keep the Kitchenery clean.

Huh... must be a regional thing then. I live in the Heartland, just a few miles from geographical center, was in the military and work on an Army base so I've worked with a good cross-section of people. Never in my 63 years have I ever seen or heard it used before - we do our cooking in a kitchen.

Whatever. There are many worse things to try and figure out for the translation anyway, like personal pronouns. That's what we get for playing a Japanese game where one word stands for almost a dozen others depending on prefixes, suffixes and the inflection used. That's why you see "it" used a lot in translations instead of he, she, we, they, me/I or you. It's a nightmare sometimes, even when you've seen it in-game dozens of times yourself, and you still go, "what?".
I live in Australia and I've mostly heard it refer to cooking equipment in particular, can't say for sure if that's an English thing or not though.

I've been meaning to ask this for a while now: is there a way to navigate to different card folders from within the character creator? It could be done in koikatsu, but over here i seem to only be able to import cards that are in the "female" folder alone (and it's getting crowded, i'd like to organize things a little)

As for "cookery", yes, it's a word, yes, it exists, yes, i have seen it used in literature, and if wiki is not trusted, maybe dictionaries will be:

There is a similar commonly used word as well: baker/bakery

ScrewThisNoise's repack has an English UI and machine-translated subtitles for character dialogue, yes. It does not, however, have subtitles for the H scenes.

According to their last post, the latest version of the repack should be up soon, so you might as well wait for that since it will be more recent than the last full update and more stable than the preliminary one.
