I think the problem is that Rebirth reminds another game to a lot of people and they expect the same rules to apply in both. For me Sharon's behaviour is completely normal. At first this whole thing is just a chore for her and she wants to get over with it as fast as possible. We've seen in this last update a glimpse of her past and that showed that the last time she opened up to someone, she was betrayed (eventhough we don't know exactly what happened yet, I think it's obvious that Astrid fucked up somehow), so she wasn't there to make friends or find a protege. When she's forced to be the MC's tutor/sire or whatever it's called later on and she's responsible for him, we see that she actively tries to push Laurie away, pretending to be his girlfriend. I find the MC's behaviour normal as well. He's new to this, his life got fucked up and he has this slightly cocky attitude from the start. It doesn't seem out of character for him to do something stupid.

Not the same type of game. I've seen a lot of comments about "Vampire The Masquerade" which is an old RPG I've never played, but I know it was quite popular and they say there are a lot of similarities between the two.

The woman that turned MC must be from some really powerful family/bloodline with all the new abilities he's developing. the game is definitely setting him up to becoming quite powerful in the future, so I'm interested to see where the story'll go from there and weather or not MC will meet the woman who turned him mainly so we can learn more about her.

Your comments were clear and I understood your references. In my first post I should have made it clear What should you do in a first encounter? Abandon them, save them, or hope for the best. If you haven't guessed I like the vampire genre and didn't like the story as it was being portrayed.
In the VTM:Redemption game you play as a human for a short time before your embraced by vampires. In VTM:Bloodlines there is one instance you meet a old human friend. Based on your clan, you handle that situation in different ways to keep your secret. Until Rebirth lore is more defined, the boss charter in Rebirth is like a clan leader in Bloodlines.

First time finding this.. and what a gem it is! Besides the great Renders the dialogue is topnotch. Can't get enough of it TBH.. Even without sex scene after sex scene this one hits home. Reads like a great book, not just mindless broken and senseless filler diatribe. Just color me impressed and awaiting the updates. Immersive with romance and thrills.. Definitely two thumbs UP!

Took me about 30 minutes to go through it and I'm not a native speaker. So not that much.
Did anyone else find the MC slightly creepy in the last update? Like spying on Sharon and being a bit pushy at the end? I mean he's always been kinda pushy, but it felt a bit jarring to me.
Love the game, But it needs more meat on the bones lore wise. Nothing about who made him. But they talk alot that it is important, The girl made thrall behave strange.. MC reaction is... almost nothing. Mc starts to get visions... Mc reaction is almost nothing. Why does not mc sitt down whit someone and starts to ask questions and try to understand. As the story is its starting to get strange, Story tells that he knows nothing about vamps, but hes reactions is almost like he knows a lot but keep quite for some reason. Mistrust ? Idiot ?...
Think at this point the story needs a release whit Lore and ground-rules, Dont mean that all questions should be answered but they need to be voiced and maybe starting to hint on answers.

I think I understand your point and that's something you can read alot in other games, which focus mainly on story than being a fap-fest. The reason for this is the nature of the releases of these AVNs. You get an update each 1 or 2 months and because of this the story can only progress in small steps. Compared to a movie or a book, where we have access to the whole story at once.
The dev/author has the plan of the story outlined in front of him and knows some of these questions are already answered, but it will take 1,2 or even mroe updates until the fans reach this point of the story. Many answers to questions or speculations on here are going to be revealed at a later point in the story by choice of the author. You have to build a arc of suspense to keep the audience listening to your story, but this doesn't work as we get only a small part of the story each time we get an update. The final product will maybe a story which takes us 5-10 hours (pure speculation just to have some numbers^^) to enjoy, but if we are here for every update on release we will follow the same story over a timespan of maybe 2 years (again pure specualtion).
There are many movies were you see a scene in the beginning which makes no sense with the available information at this point, but there will be a time in this movie, maybe be somwhere in the middle or sometimes you even have to wait for the great finale to understand everything.
Coming back to Rebirth I think the story behind the woman who made the MC is something the author will tell us, but he decided to do this at a later point and I'm totally fine with that. About the MC and his reactions to some stuff happening around him (thrall, visions, etc.) I think it's his personality to observe new things happening around him for some time before he starts dealing with it in and acting on it. But thats just the impression I got from the MC so far.

You can't really complain too much about the peeping because that was choice based (at least it was for me) so he's only a creep if you make him one in that instance.....I took the moral high ground and told off Merrick instead. I do sort of agree with you on the end part tho....I wouldn't call it creepy per se but it did come off as some weirdly aggressive flirtation that bordered on douchebaggy
True, but if you want the stats you have to peep. So it kinda feels like the "canon" choice if that makes sense. I think it gives 6 sneak or something unfortunately. Of course we don't really know how important stats are going to be.

Yea I've kinda taken the whole stat building action thing for granted since they are largely irrelevant at the moment but hey if it becomes an issue later I'm not above cheating to tweak my stats
