it all depends who's his sire

that's the point.... even if she is beyond common politics, she seems to be too powerful and influential to be unknown, unless she's on one of the oldest ones... maybe a direct child of an antedeluvian...

Seeing how fast the MC develop his powers she certainly one of the firsts generations. He's no thin blood that's for sure.
Perhaps not an antideluvian (third generation), but one of the firsts for sure.

Level 5 power for a neonate? That would be a tad OP...
That could mean that mc's sire is an old elder or even a Methuselah, which if that's the case, people best be afraid, especially if his sire turns out to be protective of him in some way. This is why I hope she shows up to deal with anyone whose trying to off him in the future.

That's my theory, that his sire is a Methuselah, which is just gonna be a fun thing to witness later on when other kindred learn of how potent his blood is.

A what now?
In Vampire the Masquerade, which is what this game is heavily influenced by, the first vampire was Cain (the one from the bible cursed by God). Because of said curse, he became the first generation of vampire. He then turned 3 individuals into vampires, where they adopted a large chunk of disciplines (powers) that were taught to Cain by Lilith, who learned these powers from Satan. The 3 individuals became the second generation of vampires. They then turned a chunk of individuals into vampires, passing along certain disciplines onto each of their children. These children were the third generation of vampires known as Antediluvian's. After said Antediluvian's killed the second generation, they embraced a few people, creating 4th gens known as methuselahs. Essentially, 3rd gens are antediluvians, 4th and 5th gens are methuselahs, 6th-8th gens are elders, 9th-13th gens are ancilae, and 14th-15th gens are thin bloods. Also, the lower generation a vampire is, the more potent their blood is due to being closer to Cain, and depending on the generation of one's sire would determine how fast they can learn disciplines as well as how many they can start with. Since mc is exhibiting extremely high lvls of powers while only being a vampire for a short period of time, it's safe to assume his sire was around 4th to 6th gen, which would allow for him to be a methuselah or elder and be able to obtain more disciplines faster.

Thanks for the info! So MC's sire being from a powerful bloodline is the most logical conclusion for his rapid development of abilities correct?

Am I the only that would rather see her first make life harder for MC? Dont get me wrong I really want her and the girl in the red dream as heroines. But I would prefer if MC has to actually win them over.
Not plain villains but more complex and mysterious characters. Specially given that the sire already implied that what she was giving to MC was more a cursed than a gift in her eyes when she said "you wont thank me"

less powerful bloodline, more likely due to her being ancient and closer to one of the original vamps, which in turn makes him closer through generation or blood potency (not sure how they wish to do that). The reason I say this is that VtM doesn't really have a clan (vampiric bloodline) that's better than the others, but instead different clans that each have different powers and mind set. Like for example, Gangrel is a clan of vampire whose entire capabilities revolve around survival, which their powers include the ability to transform their body for survival and combat, take a ton of damage and communicate and control animals while Tremere is a clan with access to blood magic, supernatural senses, and the ability to control others minds.

to be fair, that is sort of what she's doing now by essentially turning him and abandoning him with no idea what he's actually capable of, who she is, or any idea how vampiric society works.

That is why I think it is consistent with her character.

Oh I agree, what I meant was, say, the Prince (archon) decides to pull some form of bs and convinces the rest of the kindred to kill off the mc, and she in turn shows herself and essentially forces them into submission, which would be the best way to introduce her character.

I would prefer MC finishes killing the archon himself just for her to show up, force MC into submission, tease him while making Sharon, Laurie and other potential heroines jealous and leave with more questions than answers....

This makes the most sense seeing as how she just abandoned him after turning him.

I don't think so due to the power he just exhibited. I have a feeling if the creator is basing the clans off VtM/VtR, that it'll be some clan with a form of thaumaturgy or other form of blood sorcery.

Tremere don't have Potence as a basic discipline.

I stick to my guess of none of the standard clans. More than anything is because is what I want that to be teh case, but also because his set of abilities are all around the place, having some kind of Auspex, some Presence/Dominate and what I guess would eventually be some form of Obfuscate. He even seems to have some modification of Protean with the claws ability. I am not a specialist on VTM, but I do know the basic structure of the clans and he does not fit any combination I could think of. Any more knowledgeable person can help me out here?

Moreover, while VTM is clearly the setting of the story, so far none of the official names have been call upon. The closer we got was a "Nos" for nosferatus. And I seem to remember the word "Temple" in the beginning of the story for what I think is the Camarilla? Maybe to avoid a copyright infringement? Wait, would Dev have to pay for using the setting? I guess he would right?
No matter what is the case, the official clans may not exist here and they can all be clans based on the official ones.

This I can agree on since, even though VtM has a major influence on the game, there are some differences, which means we may not get the same clans. Only reason I don't see mc being something like a Brujah is due to exhibiting a form of far seight, where he had visions of the past either through being in the area or near someone. This to me shows he has something more akin to thaum or some other form of blood sorcery or discipline that gives him pre cog.

I believe one of the first powers in the vampire genre is transformation. The other is to put their prey into some sort of trance so they can feed. Personally, I believe the developer will use many sources for his/her vampires. Imo, VtM is more lore friendly than Underworld, Bram Stokers Dracula, and other media dealing with vampires. Just hoping for more lore from this developer.

You guys also have to remember he (the MC) might be displaying powers all over the place due to his sire (chick who turned him at the start). She gives off that elder vibe and is probably some powerful chick who turned us because why not. So maybe that is why he has some extra "perks" and seems a bit above average.
