*facepalm* *sigh*Funny enough, I did read through a couple of pages, but obviously didn't see anything related to what I said and I'm not going to read through the whole thread. Also, what exactly would I have searched for? I also read the change-log, which doesn't give any real indication on how much new content there is. As it so happens, that is a question I asked specifically in my post, but I notice that you didn't answer it even though you decided to respond to that very post. I'm fairly sure that it's a lot easier to read a single post (especially one that you decided to reply to) than multiple pages of them or even search for certain vague things. So, is it that you didn't bother to read it all or was it just that you wanted to get on your high horse and maybe get a few likes?
The word 'probably' in that sentence isn't reassuring at all (hopefully the dev didn't use that word).
Fanboyism generally works that way (i.e. illogically).
A good suggestion is good no matter how many times it's made and it's also more likely to be taken on board/paid attention to if more people share the same thought.
Well that was fun.
Now, can anyone tell me how much content there actually is in this update?
"Next update will probably not take as long."
If I'd "bothered to search or read"? Have you seen how many pages there are? I'm not going to waste my time reading through the whole thread and what exactly would I search for?
I shouldn't really need to be searching through a thread for information that should essentially be in the first post in the change-log. More detailed information on the update really should be within the change-log, as "6 new Isabel events (varies in length)" could literally mean anything. I'm sure you've also seen what some devs try to pass off as an update (far too few have decent sized updates and some are just pitiful).*facepalm* *sigh*
I apologize for assuming you could actually use the search function after suggesting you do that. It comes so naturally for so many of us what to search for when we know what we want to know. In your case, you wanted to know these things:
1. why the game took so long? will every update take that long and have only as much content?
2. what's new in this update?
So a simple search with the key word "update" should return you with plenty of information simply by glancing at the result. Then a search with the keyword "update" specifying posts by HopesGaming, which is the username of the dev should narrow it down even more to important posts about updates. Or a search specifying posts by HopesGaming without any keyword will give you a general idea about what's been going on since he's very active and friendly toward the fanbase. I just did just those simple searches, and all the important and core information, and pretty much everything you asked for are in the results.
As for your question about what's in this update. I did see it. I chose not to answer because, as stated above, the answers are pretty clear in the search results, as well as the fact that your question is so vague that a short answer will unlikely satisfy you while a long one will take forever to write, not to mention spoil everything. The changelog is probably the best answer anyone can give, and you've already made it clear you're dissatisfied with that.
P.S.: Funny you should say I should get off my high horse, because my attitude is usually a mirror reflection of the attitude gave off by the post I'm replying to. So I seem extremely friendly to some, while to some others...
This may come across as a bit of a cheap shot, but no character had gotten content for a while. That's why it's a bit of a disappointment seeing that only one character was focused on. It just would have been nice to have a little bit for everyone after the long absence, even if the main focus was on this character.I don't know why it's a disappointment to focus on a character that hasn't gotten content for a while.
That's a fair point. Lines of dialog then maybe? Or better yet, a rough estimate of how much time it would take to complete the content of the update (without skipping text).I am not a fan of render amounts. You don't get any real value out of it. Some games can have 1000's of renders but those mostly consist of renders from animations or several hundred of the same renders just with spot rendering (changing expressions etc.) Too many factors that play into it that make no sense for it.
I will concede that using the word "most" was foolish. I should have used "many".Please don't do that. I hate (and I'm sure most people as well) when people try to make their own opinion as fact and using other people to validate their opinion without any evidence of such.
But to answer, HELL NAW! Music is a big thing in the game. Reading the comments and reviews clearly shows you are wrong about most people muting the game. The whole game is built around the music. You don't watch a movie and then turn it all down and just watch with subtitles. You only do that for porn movies. And if you think this is a porn game. Then music or no music- you'll be disappointed.
True, but complaining can often be done impulsively and only thought through in hindsight.About your last question;
I have made several comments and patreon posts about the situation regarding the time of the updates.
Nothing wrong with a bit of complaining. When devs deserve a complain they should be complained towards.
But that requires for the complainer to at least use the search function a bit and read about the situation before writing something.
maybe this will help.If this game is another game I dont bother pressing that button but in this game I'm afraid for future events with other girls. Espacily with Luna... This will be pain in my ass in future right? And as far I know we cant get harem route in this game to?

Simple: Save here, so you shall have a save later if things doesn't work out the way you had wished for. This generally means either be killed by Antonio, Luna, Gracie, Wilfred, Cordia or Gottarda with his flail.HopesGaming If this game is another game I dont bother pressing that button but in this game I'm afraid for future events with other girls. You forgot about Joey's beard.Simple: Save here, so you shall have a save later if things doesn't work out you had wished for. This generally means either be killed by Antonio, Luna, Gracie, Wilfred, Cordia or Gottarda with his flail.
HopesGaming:
Good update. The infamous trio made me laught and the scene with Gracie made me rethink with which one should I be more concerned. But even then Wilfred is perhaps the one that is hidding the most of all the (crazy) Delucas familiy here.
And the music add to the atmosphere. So I don't concur with this many others
Hope we can have the dragons in our next update.
I don't think that Joey or his beard would kill me. And if I would be wrong then I wouldn't know it because of his stealth skill. You forgot about Joey's beard.
As for many people, do not mix up 6 months wait and 6 months work. Thanks for update Hopes. But I need say that like everyone dont get me wrong i love this game and your storytelling. But that wasnt 6 month update. We wait this update half year and that's not worth it. Thanks for update anyway. I hope you would make more updates like last time.
You have to wait one week and then in MC's bedroom will trigger an event.Hi i got stuck AGAIN so for the mission the cave it says nooon/afternoon bedroom where is that?
i tryed all rooms got i cant continue View attachment 598309
Actually, the difference between us is, when I saw the thread hasn't been updated for a long time, the first question that popped into my head was "did anything happen to the dev that it took him so long to update?", and not jumping immediately to the conclusion that the 6 months wait is equal to 6 months work. So I went and search the thread for clues to that first and not asking what you did.[...]
The difference between us is that you seem to have been following developments (at least to an certain extent), so you have more of an idea as to what has actually been discussed and as such, what to actually search for.

You pretty much just answered your own question. Not everyone plays the same way. For some people, the new content took only 10 minutes. For some people, it took a few hours. For some of those like myself, who want to get all the enjoyment out of it, as well as taking notes in term of storytelling, it took like 8 hours+. So your question is vague because you didn't give any relevant information as to how you play, or what you're actually looking for in a given game update.[...]
(I'm one of those people that read every word and don't just skip to "fun" parts)
[...]
If you've played through the new content, then you should have a rough idea of how long it took you to get through it, which would be a good gauge as to how much content there is in the update (it doesn't need to be accurate to the second or even minute, just a ballpark figure).
Like I said, my attitude is always a mirror reflection of the post I'm replying to. So I agreeIt's probably best if we both take a step down, as I think we were both probably a bit over the top with our replies.
This brought me back to the point I originally made, though. You made a generalization AND an assumption, not just for yourself, but for "most", or even "many", of the fanbase, without doing any research to see if that claim held any truth to it. If you just said, "I feel xyz", that's fine, everyone is entitled to have their own opinions. But you kept assuming that there are many people who feel the same as you do, even now, while a quick search of the thread shows differently.[...]
I will concede that using the word "most" was foolish. I should have used "many".
