The difference between us is that you seem to have been following developments (at least to an certain extent), so you have more of an idea as to what has actually been discussed and as such, what to actually search for.

Actually, the difference between us is, when I saw the thread hasn't been updated for a long time, the first question that popped into my head was "did anything happen to the dev that it took him so long to update?", and not jumping immediately to the conclusion that the 6 months wait is equal to 6 months work. So I went and search the thread for clues to that first and not asking what you did.

If you've played through the new content, then you should have a rough idea of how long it took you to get through it, which would be a good gauge as to how much content there is in the update (it doesn't need to be accurate to the second or even minute, just a ballpark figure).
You pretty much just answered your own question. Not everyone plays the same way. For some people, the new content took only 10 minutes. For some people, it took a few hours. For some of those like myself, who want to get all the enjoyment out of it, as well as taking notes in term of storytelling, it took like 8 hours+. So your question is vague because you didn't give any relevant information as to how you play, or what you're actually looking for in a given game update.
It's probably best if we both take a step down, as I think we were both probably a bit over the top with our replies.
Like I said, my attitude is always a mirror reflection of the post I'm replying to. So I agree

I will concede that using the word "most" was foolish. I should have used "many".

This brought me back to the point I originally made, though. You made a generalization AND an assumption, not just for yourself, but for "most", or even "many", of the fanbase, without doing any research to see if that claim held any truth to it. If you just said, "I feel xyz", that's fine, everyone is entitled to have their own opinions. But you kept assuming that there are many people who feel the same as you do, even now, while a quick search of the thread shows differently.
