This may come across as a bit of a cheap shot, but no character had gotten content for a while. That's why it's a bit of a disappointment seeing that only one character was focused on. It just would have been nice to have a little bit for everyone after the long absence, even if the main focus was on this character.I don't know why it's a disappointment to focus on a character that hasn't gotten content for a while.
That's a fair point. Lines of dialog then maybe? Or better yet, a rough estimate of how much time it would take to complete the content of the update (without skipping text).I am not a fan of render amounts. You don't get any real value out of it. Some games can have 1000's of renders but those mostly consist of renders from animations or several hundred of the same renders just with spot rendering (changing expressions etc.) Too many factors that play into it that make no sense for it.
I will concede that using the word "most" was foolish. I should have used "many".Please don't do that. I hate (and I'm sure most people as well) when people try to make their own opinion as fact and using other people to validate their opinion without any evidence of such.
But to answer, HELL NAW! Music is a big thing in the game. Reading the comments and reviews clearly shows you are wrong about most people muting the game. The whole game is built around the music. You don't watch a movie and then turn it all down and just watch with subtitles. You only do that for porn movies. And if you think this is a porn game. Then music or no music- you'll be disappointed.
At the end of the day this is a work in progress and not a finished product and I would personally class the addition of music as more of a finishing touch. This isn't a movie, but the music in movies is added in post-production and people don't generally watch a movie while it's being developed and instead watch the finished product.
I'm far more interested in the actual story (I'm in the actually reads the story faction) and the overall progression of the VN/game, which is why I personally would rather see resources and focus applied to that area, as it could mean more frequent and/or larger updates.
I also don't think that necessarily proves me wrong about most people muting the music, as those that do wouldn't generally mention it (they'd just mute it and forget about it) and there are others that just don't post, whereas those that do like the music are far more likely to say so. If foregoing the music were to directly lead to more frequent and/or larger updates (e.g. if you're paying for the music and that money would be able to hire somebody that would lead to increased productivity) then I feel that people would prefer that option if given the choice.
True, but complaining can often be done impulsively and only thought through in hindsight.About your last question;
I have made several comments and patreon posts about the situation regarding the time of the updates.
Nothing wrong with a bit of complaining. When devs deserve a complain they should be complained towards.
But that requires for the complainer to at least use the search function a bit and read about the situation before writing something.
