The problem is with the way you chose to deliver your game. It doesn't leave any room for polish and performance updates.
When you cut up your game in 50 individual updates people just want content. I was a long time subscriber on Patreon but I stopped when the updates became too small and far between. I get that you spend time and effort on the polish but that is not what people signed up for.
If you present a full game you can performance update and polish all you want. You are essentially just enhancing a product people already bought into.
When you sell your game in small pieces you sort of promise, that the users will get a little part of the game in each update. And polish and updates under the hood doesn't feel like that.

And second, because I had the improvements on hand that were playtested and I couldn't leave them wait until we had enough content to mandate a content update.
The only one that would fit that would be Luna. She probably didn't like being overpowered that easily by the MC. So given her combative streak I would say she fits the bill.
She is a side character though, by nature she doesn't need much development. We once had plan for her that would indeed need some muscle but I don't know if we will still go for it. It is also well possible we leave her at that state and only narrate what she become at the end of the game.

Well - I felt like I was buying it when I paid for it on Patreon. I know that you just employ the same model as a lot of other devs. But that is not the only way to do it. If you had released a full game at the get go you could have build on that experience. Added more content in the style of DLC. That would leave more room to do polish and stuff.

The thing with losing income when grading sounds like a bug, I'll look into it.
Anyway, the income from teaching can indeed never exceed 2, guest teachers don't get paid well even if they do overtime.
If you want to get more income you need to find other sources. Either training Frankie at the gym or with a deal with Alex the stripclub owner.
If losing you base income start to get tiresome then you are able to drug the Dean. Then you should have much more leeway in you schedule and will be able to not work for a few days in a row.

Oh I do, I'm not a a huge fan of the last two students in my list, didn't formulate correctly. And this character is great in every aspect, as I've written in my review, I've found overall the writing pretty good, even more remarkable for a game that has so much kinky and supersized content.
I'm a bit surprised at people grumbling about the actual content, the first post makes it quite clear that there will be lots of extra curves, and I loved the way my favorite characters -see list- look like, I'm always for variety in clothing, but so far, excellent match for my tastes. Frankly at first I last stage Chrystal hairstyle was really off putting for me. But after 2 years ... I got used to it. Still I don't know what was Jan thinking.
And if it was not for how she got shaped both mind and body she would probably be as low as in your list. But I don't separate pornography to eroticism, and her storyline of how she got abuse by her ex-bf, fell into the hand of the MC, got coerced to the point of yielding, to finally embrace being his property because she realized he actually cared for her.
How not to love that ?
So yeah Chrystal built her personality with the "help" of the MC. Leading to her either becoming a pornstar or still continuing to study even with her body that exempt her of it (since the green serum might stop aging ...). What I like about her character is that she grew from (very) naive to body conscious and able to enjoy it. She trust the MC and love being his fucktoy, yet she would have the spine to oppose him if he ever wanted something from her that she wouldn't consent to.
So as opposed to Yuki that would not really consent as she more or less relinquished her will to in profit of the MC's, Chrystal approve everything he do to or ask of her.
And she doesn't hide under her submission, she doesn't execute order, she get asked for and she approves to.
Also she is provocative but not needy.
That is certainly the variety I like about this game. It is kind of BDSM from A to Z yet all the girls has their own relationship with the MC.
I feel like when players talk about the variety in the cast of girls they often talk about figures and ethnicity. While they are really all really developed and nuanced.
Of course a bit of that is my headcanon, with bit more insight into Jan canon than other players. But at some point I'll write some lengthy post about the girls on our (ridiculously underused) devblog with the approval of Jan it shall become official enough ^^.

Try to unplug her then you should be able to buy them and replug her.
I don't know how fast I will be able to push a fix, it took me 15h to upload this version, I really have a bad network here. Just pushing a fix will probably take me 5h, so yeah, I'm sorry but you will have to make due with the workaround for now.

I did named the (not implemented)(and potentially never to be) antagonist.
But really, I generally am the one that made things that people complains about while Jan the content people likes.
The only thing did that I recall had a nice reception is the SMS system. Never saw a bad comment about it.
The updater is generally well liked even if it is only part of the Ren'Py engine I'm one of the few that actually took time to learn and use what Ren'Py has to offer. But even it doesn't always get some love as you can see in the 9 May 2019 review.
And for the record if we ever add the antagonist I will absolutely push to write his lines. I have been waiting for so long to do it.

You know back in the MC's days the weren't really into that "exclusivity" thingy. It was more about wearing bell-bottom pants, headbands and LSD. Of course as a chemist he provided ... a lot.
He is certainly not stranger to giving drugs to gullible young women.
