seeing the floor you might want to go into surface settings and change the tiling a bit so the tiles won't be so extremely big:

change the Horizontal and Vertical Tiles to something around 20 should do the trick ;)
I got lazy and just threw it together, but thanks for the tip. After assembling the thing for about 2 hours, I just wanted it to be done. I will definitely play with the slider though if I turn those racks into a clothing store, which is highly likely.

I worked on the lighting a bit, pulled down the back wall so it wasn't backing the rim light, and added a few plants for visual interest. I got bored so I was playing a game while it rendered, so my render time went up to 30 minutes, but given the complexity of the piece that's still pretty good. The plants are from the Hotel Balcony which was a freebie from Daz last year.

Someone offered some criticism in the Show us your Daz3D skill and while a little harsh, it wasn't totally off base. So I grabbed some free fabric textures from Renderosity, and reworked all of the surface shaders on the rack and this is the result. I do think the bathing suits look more realistic than they did with the stock surfaces. I call this the Summer 2020 Collection. I also tweaked the lighting on the right side to lighten it up a bit. Again, all free stuff. The plants were from a Hotel Balcony scene that Daz3D gave away as a freebie last year.

It's definitely better. I'd play a bit with the render settings and if the bathing suits are one piece (surface wise), then I'd probably use deforce to make them "hang" a bit more realistic, but all in all it's not bad.

Kitbash3D is giving away the entire Utopia kit for a limit time:

You just need to use the code : brightartdarktimes

They also usually have a free demo kit available as well, no code required:

They actually aren't hanging at all on the hangers, they are on a flattened G8F model. I tried doing dForce but the free clothing I am trying to use is not dForce, and when I try to do dForce simulations setting the swimsuit (or swimsuit top) to dForce as dynamic and the hanger as a dForce static surface, the swimsuit explodes EVERY . SINGLE . TIME. I have tried this with a few of the free swimsuits and found it to be pretty consistent behavior. While using dForce draping would give more realism to be sure, I am not willing to invest in an all-dForce wardrobe, especially when getting that for free is really difficult.

More temporary freebies: If you are not a Daz3D Platinum Club member, you can get Platinum Club member benefits for free until the end of March on Daz3D. See for details. Benefits include access to the Platinum Club freebies (currently some flowers and woodworking tools), a $6 off coupon on Daz Originals, 30% off Daz Originals, and access to special Platinum Club pricing.

For current PC members, the monthly $6 off on a Daz Original coupon is usable three times, and PC members get an additional 10% off of Daz Originals and all Non-Daz Originals (excluding new releases).

This is a nice gesture from Daz3D. I was a platinum member last year, and just haven't been involved enough in 3D to sign up again, but hope to at some point.

Yeah that sucks, that's why I was saying "if it's a one piece", cause if it has several surfaces, it tends to explode.

I am talking about doing it on a one piece swimsuit. I think that dForce is something that works best if you have something that is already designed for it. Otherwise, I don't know if it's worth the bother.

Well, nothing is really designed for it, it's just a different setting in the shader that make the big difference. Usually dforce works best on one piece items, with one surface, but that doesn't mean that it always works^^

You haven't missed it, I just checked and it's still available for free. Just enter the code at checkout.
Lol, yeah, you're right, I've only seen the big fat pricetag and thought it was gone^^
Thanks again.

Thanks to Boogie for the tip on HiveWire a few days ago. I just got an email that they have added 20 additional items to their section which features more free stuff. They have also added a new that requires that the poster use at least three of their items in the post, and they are offering free software and prizes of between $25 and $75 (for first, second, and third place prizes). I will also give a shout out to recreation who seems not to be getting notifications. Have fun everyone, and stay safe!

Make sure you grab the Banana Suit from the Daz store today. It'll show as $419.98 on the sales page here:

But will be free once you add it to your cart.

I noticed that the dFlatable Donkey from last year is no longer in the Daz Store, and apparently was pulled within a few days of being offered as the 1 April freebie, so get the banana suit while you can!

BTW, if you grab the Restoration Shop 70% off item along with the Banana suit, it looks like this will 'trigger' the extra $20 off for Select Daz Originals offer, if you have that purple banner in your Daz3D account inbox. At least right now, they might fix that later this morning if that isn't what they intended...

Free Platinum Club for everyone is extended at Daz3D, including a free $6 Daz Original coupon code. This means you could buy something near $6 for free or less than a dollar if there is something you like. Free PC members also get 30% off of Daz Originals.

For those who already have Platinum Plus, they can use their $6 coupon for April 3 times like last month, get an additional 10% off of Daz Originals, and use the coupon PLATINUM-PLUS to get 10% off of Non-Daz Originals.
