Imho all over here who think it's a good idea to start complaints right after the very first release should think about if they also would go so harsh on other games, which got maybe around 10 minutes of gameplay, and demand them to include all that, what you expect from Sunshine Love right now.

I am confused right now. I've played the substar version only and everything was nice and easy there. FemMC is half-sibling and Ashley is sort of "step-mom". So id on't know about everything else

Exactly. I was thinking the same thing. Doesn't seem like like reasonable reactions from family members that love each other and haven't seen each other in 10 years.

The weird part is with the incest patch install. They are still half siblings. So I don't know where step sister came from.

You tried this yourself? If you installed in on the substar version I doubt anything would happen as they essentially have the same files. The only thing I can think of is that either the patreon version starts with her being "step" or the patch makes her "step", which makes no sense to me

They are step-siblings in whatever the first version was uploaded here, with no patch applied. That's the version I downloaded and MC/sis are not related by blood at all. Gerald meets Ashley when sis is already like 6 years old or whatever and it's clearly stated her father left before she was born and she never met her father.
However I'm pretty sure there's also some bugs with the text in this version because when Gerald and Ashley meet for the first time there is some dialogue that references them having met in the past which doesn't make sense.

I dunno, the OP says that here we have the uncensored substar version. That's the one I've downloaded and never had to use any patch. She's a half-sibling to me, without having to do anything

yes i downloaded the substar version and and I install the walkthrough mod from Lain and then I saw in the files of the mod that the mod bring the incest patch then I thought this is going to change something in the game but it didn't change nothing MC and MC sister or still half-siblings even with the patch install into substar version

Firstly, let me start by saying that MrDots has hit a homerun this time. Only first update and this game is already my favorite over Melody and DMD. Just loved the renders, great story! The sister is the most beautiful render I have ever seen!
Did I do something wrong or this is how the patch is supposed to be?
Coming to the confusion regarding patch, I played the sub star version, patch was enabled and the only person related to MC was the HALF-sister! Ashley was just his father's wife, not related.

Substar is automatically pre-patched, but you can turn off the incest ( I did, to see the difference in dialogues). The patreon version would require a patch, but I dun't know whether shes step there before the patch or after

They might have updated the links to a different version since I downloaded it, I got the links from the original thread here I believe before this thread got created. Either way, on the non-incest version she is a step-sibling that's why people keep calling her that.

I mean, his own sister got him to fly far from home by telling him a bunch of tall tales, taking advantage of his current situation to pull him into her own shit, and he doesn't get paid. I wouldn't expect anyone who gets deceived like that to just "man up". Lawyer or not.
