I don't about yall but animation can take a long time. And it's not like the dev isn't keeping people informed. Honestly, they're being transparent with what's going on, so I don't mind waiting. Just saying from personal experience, modeling alone can take a long while. They have a pretty good pace for a small team(if that). Not trying to sound like im sucking their dicks, just saying animation is usually expensive and time consuming. idkman

Word, and it's not like these small studio's are going to have the means to mocap themselves giving fellatio to a carrot anytime soon. Comparing the animations in this game to 90 % out there makes it obvious they put a lot more work into it.

Numeric also plans to expand the gameplay to have an explorable map and more RPG elements. So he isn't just putting in a second character.

Actually he's also putting in a third character(the thicc merchant), so that also contributes to the long developmental time.

I mean considering how good the initial release was, I don't care how long they take for the next update. They're obviously trying to release a quality game. I'm exciting for the next two updates, wonder what their "moves" will be.

Still quite a while before 2.0 gets released apparently but the big news is it will contain the map exploration mentioned.

Can't fucking wait boys.

Gonna play devils advocate here a bit and say that maybe this expansion in scope isn't such a good thing. Having areas the player can navigate means that, unless the dev hires a dedicated environmental designer/artist, they'll have to allocate time away from modeling and animating characters. Taking into account the quality of the character models, I'd assume that the dev will want to keep a similar level of quality for the environments.

There's also the fact that all the new environmental models will require more resources to render on a players device. Even the current version of the game is on the demanding side. Unless the dev can implement some sort of async asset loading method, I'm hoping that these navigable areas are small, independent sectors with loading-screens in-between.

It's not my game and the dev can do whatever they want, just rambling a bit here.

EDIT: Also, I haven't been following the games development too closely, so if any of my assumptions are plain wrong, feel free to correct me.

The dev has already paid both a character artist (creator of the merchant) and an animator to help out so far, can't see why they wouldn't do the same for the enviroment assets and such if they felt the need to.

Even though it will take its time honestly I'm not really bothered given how transparent the development process has been so far with monthly updates, it's better than constantly breaking promises and delaying shit over and over imo. It's just a slow burner.

I do understand where you are coming from though. I'm sure a lot of people are going to ask why they need an enviroment getting in the way of their porn but ultimately, I think it will help the game in the long run with the added immersion and qualities you'd expect from an actual game.

Should have been a bit more verbose with my message. I'm not so much worried about the game taking long to develop. Rather I'm worried about feature creep in the way that the game will become too complex and the development team won't be able to manage the project without burning out. It's too soon to make conclusions but the ledge detection video shows that the programmer isn't a slouch, so there is hope :giggle:

If the team is able to keep the project in a cohesive state, despite the expanded scope, I'd be very glad. I'm all for a gameplay heavy adult game, as long as there's a way to get a quick fap at some point (Unlockable gallery mode). Even if the smut content takes a backseat for the project, I could see myself enjoying it just as a game. Portals of Phereon is a good example. Very little porn content but a very interesting management game, if you're into Excel sheets :ROFLMAO:

He did say that whatever he's doing right now(like the map stuff) is laying down a foundation for future updates, and i would guess at that point updates wouldn't take nearly as long as this one and it would simply be only a matter of adding a witch and her scenes, rather than creating an entire map or giant gameplay mechanic from scratch.

There needs to be more dirty, sweaty chubbies and fatties to sexually humiliate the hero in games. Catering to as many different fetishes in a game is great, I hope the BBW is a recurring character in the game. I was really disappointed when I played Under The Witch, the gameplay portion was great but the title screen implied the Witch would be using her ass a lot more. 'Under The Witch' name suggests heavily things like facesitting and smothering but the ass scenes are only maybe 30% of the sex scenes despite what the title screen was hinting at. I'm not sexually attracted to girl pussy at all, never have been. :( and all this game did was reinforce that. It's a fun game, lotta promise. But it needs ASS. ASS galore :p
