They should make an update focusing only on new scenes. Just new scenes, for all the chapters. I think that that is the weakness of this game, the lack of actual erotic scenes.

It would be easy. Erotic side quests instead of the boring ones that we have right now in the town square (like a tavern asking for help, or a dude asking for a "maid"), special enemies that you can fuck if you win or be raped if you lose not only the bosses of each zone, events inside each dungeon that gives you an erotic debuff or reward with a short scene if your leader has (or not) the necesary checks (they already have the event with the vines in the first dungeon why not put an image to that??), special erotic scenes with your companions instead of those conversations on the taverns, special secondary quests that have erotic scenes as a reward (more lenghty quests like the one from the prince), etc

In short they should take a look at roundscape adorevia and learn a thing or two from them.

I have been trying to play this game for several days now and every time I open the launch this appears to me. I'm not an expert but I think this means I don't have enough graphics for the game to run, or am I wrong?

Love the game idea, but after trying this one last month, the game is just filled with bugs and crashes. And its grindy as hell and not in a good kind; i dont mind grinds in rpgm games but on this game, its mostly a luck based and combat feels super slow
Also game is lacking in scenes, so if you are looking for that, i recommend playing other games

It's an odd game that's actually gotten worse over time in every area other than the art. The more updates it has the buggier it gets and the battle system, which used to be fairly straightforward and functional if not very interesting, has gotten more convoluted and takes forever to slog through. Early on The Dark Master (the main writer for Seeds of Chaos) was attached to it but he ended up leaving and -all- the writing, both the erotic and the general story material, suffered for it.

Now it can't really decide if it wants to be a brothel management sim or a dungeon crawler but it doesn't matter because neither consistently works. I think switch is trying to do everything but can't quite manage to do anything.

As always for this game : AWESOME ideas... but RUINED by bugs. And when you reload (because of a bug for exemple) the game is likely to become even MORE buggy.

SO if you want to try the game, you should have a lot of time to play through ALL the game because you want to avoid having ANY reload situation... and pray to dodge all bugs along the way...

is there a way to open the current version with linux? I know it says to open the Launch (linux).bat file, but i can't find one anywhere in the folder.
Also I've tried using wine but I'm missing java runtime on that, and installing it is proving to be a bit too much of a challenge for some reason, so if there's a way to run the game through a linux version I'd rather do that.

In the past it was possible. You had to install either the official Oracle Java SDK, or OpenJDK + OpenJFX (v8). Then you could launch the game like that:
Code:
java -Xss8M -jar VentureSeas.jar
But the current jar includes something from Steam, I guess. I tried to launch it on a 32-bit system and it failed.
I remember it also failed when I used OpenJDK 8 + OpenJFX 11, the version numbers had to match so I downgraded the OpenJFX libraries.

I'm fairly new to linux, and don't know as much about computers and software as I'd like, so I have no idea what any of that means. Is there something of a guide to how that works?

About gaming on Linux? You can start from here: Playing On Linux - Tutorials, Tools And Help.

Oracle JDK is the official Java, OpenJDK and OpenJFX are open-source alternatives. You just install them. How? Well, it depends on your Linux distribution (Ubuntu, Debian, Mint, Fedora and so on). Each of them has its favorite software and it is most likely linked in the OS menu. Mine is Synaptics.
Once you have installed Java, you can open the terminal (either from the menu or by pressing CTRL-ALT-T), move to the directory where the .jar is (you can use the command cd), type the string I have posted before and press Enter.
You should know what "cd" (change directory) does, it exists on Windows too. Anyway, this is a good starting point: . The MIT has also developed a text-adventure for new Linux users: .

Honestly so true my man, like I wanna fuck my crew and the whores in my brothel or some shit but instead I get a page of text.... like who like reading erotic text????????? (no offense if you do)

It's not running, just says:"

I feel like I'm fucking up somehow :/
Also thanks for the two learning linux links, that seems like it'll really help me in the long-run :D

I think I've found a solution.

Java on Wine is a bit tricky: you must install it in silent mode.
You don't actually need it for this game, you should be able to run it natively. But I'll leave the instructions anyway.
