A threesome relationship in the real world is not something that's conventional or generally accepted by society, so I suppose it's good to see them acknowledge this, and they're also kids in college so things could easily change as they grow and mature. Maya even alludes to this when saying she's not sure if her feelings for the MC will pass if they're just a temporary fad and it's why she doesn't want to commit to anything official yet. Although I do find it weird that Maya, of all people, wants an open relationship and for all of them to be open to other opportunities.
I thought so too at first. But looking at what she said I think it makes sense... from a certain point of view.

Since i never was as upset about the Josy Maya stuff, i never minded. I always thought those who are on a dik path overreacted, and mostly never understand their being upset for rejection if they never give a fuck about them in the first place
so part of me don't really like the idea of them being available for the full dik path, may be that is the bad ending for all of them eventually .

I always thought the right way is the more than friendship, it's like the canon storyline, and i feel it's actually confirmed because, I went back and Rejected them, Me the MC not they, and the conversation was very cool, they literally was upset that you chose to just to be friends, its like the game telling you you made some poor decision :D.
and the little hanging out with them at the end of the chapter 5, also put more confirmation. the whole "no strings attached" statement.
let's see where this lead us, let's figuring out together, very much what the college is about, figuring out yourself.
that is why i love them, because they just try figuring out their life.
Just like the M.C. whose inner thought are almost like the player thought some times, " what this mean, is this a relationship?, can i see others? , where this is going?" , and on and on. These are the questions i had LOL

And in some way they are more similar to the MC than any other girl.

yeah i know, but you know could be more develop i mean,no pressure on the developer because he do all this by himself but i think 4-5 months you can develop more longer, but anyway i my country there is a saying that says "there is no use crying over spilled milk",best is rest and wait for next ep and have faith will be epic again and more longer.

I honestly don't get where people are pulling this "four to five months" thing from. Sure the steam release added a month, but that actual production time was just over three months (~2/14/20 to 5/29/20). I'd be shocked if we don't get Episode 6 in September. Time-wise, this update did cover quite a bit. The reason people are complaining about the lack of story development is because we've gone from the 'Earth-shattering' reveals of a season finale to the season premiere. This episode was about setting up the new status quo. With the next installment, it'll be a brand new season and a brand new week. DPC has a four-season story planned, and though that'll likely shrink a bit, they won't rush through the story's pacing.
