That said, IMVHO it's a somewhat disappointing update: only one sexy scene (though really smoking hot), and if 40 minutes after release you have already downloaded, installed and completely played the update you can only conclude there's not that much content.

I am getting the same error! I overwrote the update only files on the v34 compressed version.

Don't install the update on a compressed version. If you have one, just wait for the full new version to be compressed first. If you had the full not-compressed version the update should work fine or download the full new version fresh. I had the error popping up due to updating the compressed version. It fixed itself after I downloaded the full new version and removed the older compressed version from my computer.

Try to unpack the game again. Somehow your file got missing or corrupted. OR if you're unlucky your whole download. Btw: The file "baloon" was not touched by the last two updates.

Another idea: Do you have the correct version numbers? Check please. I ahve a feel you could have mixed something up.
