Wew, beat the game. Only ended up with 300/402 CGs though. Many cg collections are completely random. It's just being in a certain dungeon enough or hitting up the prison enough, or doing random quests at the right time. Kinda feels unfair, but oh well. There were also a lot of items that seem like something would happen if you collect them, but I moved on so quickly away from those dungeons that there was no time for that and they were no longer available in any way. I don't mind leaving some stuff for NG+, but it seems like a lot of those quickly lock out on you. Well, it's not like it's difficult to find the CGs online.
Game was pretty good, but super grindy and I don't want to replay it. At least it's the first of longer games like this I've actually finished (Didn't complete Eiyuu Senki or Venus Blood, I think both are around 75-90% complete before I stopped). It helped that there weren't 15 minute cutscenes back to back as is often the case. Most scenes here only last a minute or less, so they don't break up the flow as badly as other similar games. Nothing kills my desire to play a game like spam clicking text for 80% of the game.
Some issues I hope are fixed in the sequel:
1: Buffs not showing anywhere when active. Questionable durations of everything. This made me question if a lot of the shit even worked like Concealment.
2: Sometimes it seemed like End+Res spell didn't function as well, made worse by issue 1.
3: Lots of repeated scenes with a bit of text change. There were still enough unique scenes of course, but they probably could have reduced some of those repeated scenes and just implied them more.
4: Not being able to use a lot of the girls as battle units made me sad. You only get two of the actual girls and one is temporary. You also really don't have enough command to make use of all your favorite units.
5: Kinda sad most the art doesn't actually show the male character at all. The completely invisible dude syndrome is real here. Couldn't even tell when a girl was being penetrated, especially with the censorship size.
