Windows 10 users have to run the installer in Windows 7 compatibility
So my issue was using PowerISO. I kept getting install errors with that program, so I tried wincdemu and it worked no problem. Dunno if that'll help others, but thought I'd throw in my two cents after getting frustrated.

Looks like the game is possibly locked at 800x600 but I did find a way to get it mostly full screen in Windows 10. With the game started hit F10 or right click on the top of the window and a new window will pop up, in the bottom right of the window click the circle of the option in the farthest corner of the bottom right. Then hit ok, and then ok again and the game should maximize tho mine is still only half the screen, still better than the tiny box it was.
i dont know if its the patch or what but after i apply the 1.21 hotfix patch, i cant seem to use certain skill and my demon except the front row wont attack, just keep on defend.
use Japanese locale, change compatibility to win 7 and run as administrator
otherwise do 1500mb then finish install
run installer again and patch up the 600mb

while playing on window 10 fullscreen, my game minimizes whenever i repeat the same action in a short time span such as moving foward in dungeon (be it with numpad 8, arrow key or clicking arrows, held down or repeated strokes) or adding to my mercs buy count; any way to fix or avoid this issue?

I either redownloaded the game, closed it and reopened it, or did something in preferences. It's been a while, I think it might've been that change compatibility thing.

I was getting errors when running the installer, so what I did was this.
Mount the image with whatever tool. Copy and move over the bunny black folder from the mounted image to whatever directory you want. Then, I used the 1.0 patch that came with the main file (move the patch into the game folder and run it). Then I tried to patch the 1.2 downloaded from here, but it would not run, so I just did the 1.21 hotfix. The patching seems suspect, but I am like 30 hours into the game with no problems except being unable to full screen.

Instructions: (From what I gathered from above and tested)
1. Download all files and patches
2. Download WinCDEM and install
3. extract all files except bb_quickfix and bunnyblack_eng (save em for later)
4. Open bunyblack file and u’ll see two files an mdf and mds. open the mds file by right clicking it and choosing openwith winCDEMU
5. then a CD should popup in This PC like how your usb pops up when you plug it in
6. double click that file and extract manually by highlighting copy and then paste all of it to a new file/folder
6. open the bunny folder at the top and drag in the bunyblack_eng file extract it inside then run the buny black english patch
7. next is to drag in the bb_quickfix and extract that in there too and replace all files
8. Then you run the bunny application the orange icon thingy
