Character credibility : 0
It pretty obvious that the MC will be a beta follower. He could have just said "No, honey, I like to participate" and that lesbian scene completly out of nowhere, of course, could habe been a threesome. But no.

You already know that Alice will be the shitty character of the game who will have sex with everyone on the island but not with the MC.

It's version 0.1 - lots of stuff in not done yet. Once you get to the island and go to the house, you have a free-roam mode where you can talk with your partner or catch her in her room dressing up or going to the bath. At noon you can go to the lounge and trigger part 2 of the first episode and go to the island's CEO where you will learn what happened and your partner's cover. Once you get back to the house, you'll have another free-roam mode with two schedules for your partner chosen at random (one is the same as the first free-roam, the other is with her going to work at night). There are no sex events in the free roam (yet), as it's more like a proof-of-concept for the schedules, auto-triggered events (like the dressing up, bath and yoga) and talks. You can't leave the house yet - that will come in the next update.

With 0.1 released, let's see what comes next for "Island 34". First of all - the story progression. You'll get your cover and you'll meet two more girls from the island - a wife whose husband went missing and a girl working at the same club as your partner.

As for the free-roam mode, I'll try to squeeze in as much as I can, but before any events, I'll do the moving around the island. I think the foundation is done with what I did for 0.1, but until I actually try it, I can't commit that there won't be any major and time-consuming changes on the code. If everything goes smoothly I might be able to do one or two events on top of the planned two scenes for the story.

I think the opposite personally.

It just makes the MC a more normal person in an abnormal setting. Sometimes it's nice to read something where the main character isn't the be all and end all of the story and is part of something much bigger.

Sure the girls in Water World go about their business and would have whether the MC turned up or not but he did turn up and got to be a part of their lives for a while.

This one seems more driven by the main characters but that doesn't mean every other character shouldn't have their own things going on.

I see your point and I already said that I love a story that has characters with their own dreams, goals and desires and not just revolve around the MC to an extent... if the story could just go on just fine without the MC to the point where the story and characters won't change it's bad.

Not a promising start but I wasn't expecting much as plenty of people mentioned that the dev has abandoned his last two games, can't confirm as I never played them. But if so that doesn't bode well for this one.

He didn't abandone the games, but I played the first and have to say the story wasn't very good and the ending was shit/maybe rushed and the second game has the same MC as the first but from what you can read in the gamethread also a shit ending.

Probably won't be playing this for a while, seeing as I haven't even finished Water World, but damn the lightning is on point and the focus is excellent. You've really progressed a ton on all fronts man from a technical/flow standpoint. Apart from whatever subjective criticisms people have about fetishes/narrative methods I just had to point that out.

Tastes differ. The story of the first 2 games was about time travel and parallel universe stuff. The endings of both games were sort of cliffhangers. They are nice games with lots of sex scenes, which is why most of us here play them. Just because you don't like some part of the story doesn't mean they are "shit". Come on man!

To each their own, I guess. Some of us like to create, some like to criticize. Yeah, I've learned a lot about how lighting works, how to get around bugs in iRay and also Daz made a huge leap with the denoiser, so now the animations don't require a lot of time (compared to the older version of Daz of course - they still require a few hours). I hope there won't be such a shift in quality of the content in i34 until I finish it, because right now when I start WW from the beginning I see all the mistakes I did two and a half years ago and want to kick myself .

The dev of this made another game Water World where the male MC was forced to swap bodies with an ugly female android about halfway through the game.

Controlling an android, vs. body-swapping .... but oh well, if you don't like the dev, you might want to not play this, indeed.
