Holy shit, what an episode! Best ever yet. I only unlocked half of the scenes with my playthrough but I am confident to say this episode is my favorite.

I won't talk much except this preview picture with this trio.

I had very high expectations for this preview and damn, it DID deliver. I loved quality bonding time with Tommy, and I love Nicole since forever. I was already happy with this trio but we had 2 more suprises in this bar, which tops the charts. Based DPC did it again, brilliant work!

Not really sure why people think this update was so dark. We already knew Quinn was a drug dealing pimp, we already knew Maya's dad hater her relationship and was holding her tuition hostage. Mona walking away in the rain is sad and I hope she hasn't gone permanently but most of the update is messing about with the Diks or playing DnD

She's shown leaving campus at the very end of the episode. She wasn't expelled, though. She's wearing the same dress as the HOT party which was, at best, a couple of hours before; that's not time enough for her to actually get expelled.

What I think happened is that after the HOT party, where Mona tells Maya there's no free tuition and that leads to Maya slapping Quinn, Mona realizes she's not safe here, packs her stuff, and takes off. Quinn probably then lets Burke know she left, which is why he deletes her file from their little fake tuition scam.

I think the more likely culprit is Vinny himself, but that Nick knows and is keeping his mouth shut out of loyalty. I don't know how or why Vinny would be behind everything, but Nick feels more like a stooge than a mastermind, IMO, and the game has been building Vinny up for a while.

Yeah, this is my problem with this entire subplot. Quinn had to realize pretty quickly that this one (Maya) wasn't going to be joining the restaurant. The only explanation I've got for why she pressed on is simple hubris. She originally thought she could screw around with this prudish girl, give her an impossible list, then dump her when she failed. But when Maya turned out to be tied to MC, who Quinn took an interest in, she became more fun to play with. Then Josy turns up, which lets Quinn screw with Tommy, so she lets her in. And Josy partnering with Maya is what allowed them to finish the list.

TL;DR- Quinn was so keen on messing with everybody that she didn't notice when Maya suddenly became capable of completing the supposed-to-be-impossible list, and now she's stuck with a new HOT she can't use and who actively hates her.

Might have something to do with one or both of her parents? A bit cliché, but we do get a glimpse into her upbringing in this episode. Would be thematically appropriate if nothing else.

What she says is actually that he tricked her into co-signing a loan. So basically it's his loan, and she's the co-signer, so the obligation to pay is his, BUT if he doesn't pay -- say, because he's a douchenozzle who wants to make his gay daughter suffer -- as a co-signer she's legally responsible for the debt which, as an 18 year old college student, she can't possibly afford to pay. This would force her to drop out, put her in massive debt, and harm her credit, possibly permanently.

Of course this ignores two important things: 1) because she IS an 18 year old college student who can't possibly pay, no lender in the world would ever accept her as a co-signer, and 2) all the negative consequences of letting the loan default that would impact Maya would also impact her father, so if he really did this it'd be a financial kamikaze mission on his part.

Basically it sounds good, but if you think about it for a minute it actually makes even less sense then having her just need her father's financial help to pay for school.
Alternatively he could be bluffing and she simply not understand how all that works because I can say I didn't really understand how credit and loans worked properly when I was 18

Windows-8-6.2.9200
Ren'Py 7.3.2.320
Being a DIK 0.6.0
Sun Nov 15 12:26:59 2020

This is on two seperate saves, the other one going back all the way to Episode 2 or something similar.
They work just fine on 0.5.0, which I just downloaded and tried.
Anyone has any idea what to do?
Tried patching the 0.5.0 version of the game to 0.6.0 (which worked), but I'm still getting the same error when trying to load the saves. Kind of stumped here...

I have the impression that nobody spoke about this:

Agreed, we need much more Quinn chat! Slightly different answers above make it even better. I know she hasn't been the most popular girl on here, but I've always really liked her and thought there a fire between her and MC. There are interesting things happening with her character now too, layers of complexity and hints at a softer side, This update was great for Quinn fans. I think perhaps a lot of people have missed her scenes completely because they're on the CHIK/ M/J path. My advice would be to give her a shot, I don't think they'll be disappointed.

How can you do that?
Not sure about all the steps, but I think you need to:

1. Talk to the apple merchant/Cathy and bribe her. If you charm her first, it costs less.
2. Get the right answer of which lowlife speaks the truth so you have the code to get in the small room.
3. Take the wand from the small room in the castle.
4. During the battle against the ice queen you use the wand. Because of the hint from Cathy, you know to hit the crystal. This turns the Ice Queen normal.

It think it will be closer to 12 episodes than the predicted high range of 20ish episodes. At the rate DPC is going with these character arcs and plotlines, he is quickly painting himself into a corner. The LIs are already starting to get narrowed down so there is only so long he can keep this "college comedy" going when you are a monogamous, drama magnet MC. The only way 20ish episodes will work is if he makes them cover shorter time frames. That's disappointing because I really wanted to see the spring semester (i.e. spring break, Bella's class, etc.).
I really hope that it will be in the 16 - 20 episodes range. When the 4-6 hours of contents was announced , I was expecting that there would be a huge development storyline wise but in the end it gave us much more dramas and many questions still remain unanswered. So I guess we should get more episodes so that it does not feel rushed like season 8 of GoT is, in order to make the pace of the story more natural without rushed contents with a lot of plothole or over simplified writings.
I honestly don't see how, given the somewhat rapid progression of relationships and that lots of content is being cut off, that this game can go much higher than 12 episodes and 3 seasons. There are still a lot of things to be resolved and answers to things that need to be known, but 6 more episodes should be enough to cover it, provided we don't get another stupidly long and pointless DnG game to pad things out.

There's only so much stretching they can do to make this last longer than 12 episodes and a player's main playthrough could eventually be wittled down to just 1 or 2 scenes per update, so it could become increasingly boring if this is the case and frustrating if each episode keeps setting up more questions and plotlines and not addressing the ones that came before.

maybe its just me, but i feel like Jill wont be a worthwhile payoff at the end of all of this

it seems like its literally putting the pussy on a pedestal....
Probably an effect of adding her late in development. There were originally only 4 main LIs and Jill was added late, so perhaps DPC is making Jill the way she is to purposefully tease and blueball people because of that.

Does anyone know how laptop pictures are opening up? Because I unlocked some but I don't know what I did. And was there a guyde of any kind to find pictures yet?
It depends on your path and past actions. For example, I didn't get Cathy, Jade, Heather, Mel & Sarah, or Sally because I'm not on the DIK and therefore am not doing anything with the teachers, didn't get the hot tub scene in ep 5, and didn't spank Sally in the first DnG game, but I've done things with all the other girls and that's probably why I got them.

Maya and Josy are not viable as LIs for me since that reveal at the end of episode 3 because I cant stand lies (I know Josy didnt lie literally, but Maya did).
As someone who plays their route, I think they could be very viable depending on where this situation with Maya's Dad leads. There's a lot of genuine affection there, particularly displayed in this episode, and I do think it can work if DPC gives it a chance to work and doesn't absolutely destroy because of factors that we have no control over.

Just finish the game.. and i agree with alot of people here that there is a pointless draggy part in the game that does not really add any value... Can't wait for the next epi... i know epi6 just release but... Hope we could finally have some action with Heather in epi7

PS: anyone miss Maya 1 shot hair style?

Such an engrossing story line. Jill in particular just makes you want to forget everyone else and run away with her.
The whole story/game is so well done, it is a little infuriating when you reach the end of a chapter and you want more. Lots of Dammit it's the end of that one.. Dammit. Dammit.
