I dunno man, what happens in game feels a lot darker and mean spirited.

As for the isekai part.
Isekai themselves are trash and suck.
BUT the general overall concept is interesting and offers quite unique story telling.

Also, if it's aabout power fantasy, why are playing as Cedric? The Guy's a joke who kept getting his ass kicked at almost every moment.

Wouldn't be playing as a completely new character that you get to name feel more....immersive?

In canon Cedric is a generic villain but what you experience in game is not the canon. Additionally, wasnt he kind of the main villain in the end, eating Phobos and all that? Plus, i have read the comics and Cedric is much more like his Witch hunter counterpart there. More maquiavellic and deciving, and less a generic brute.
For the isekai, the concept had good and interesting ideas...wich any isekai actually use. Well, one used them years prior to the genre appearing, but it is forgotten. Rest in peace .Hack, you were the best version of SAO a decade before SAO existed.

Yes, the game is far from been W.I.T.C.H but guess what, this is not created by the same author, is a different person trying to create something similar making it a porn game and at the same time trying to please hundreds of people on the internet.

Could you give it a rest already? is tiresome, always complaining about how badly written it is yet you still keep an eye on the development, I followed SexNote but after the Billie Ellis update, I stop caring and participating in that forum cuz the game don't attract me anymore.

Criticism is always welcome, that is what makes a game better especially if the author takes the better of it, but you seem to not like the game no matter what and even worse if your problem is that this is not "WITCH" again of course is not, is a porn game with WTCH characters, and I doubt it will follow the witch story at any point in a near future, is not gonna surpass the main base material, is not gonna even be as good as the show, so take it as it is, a porn game.

I'm not expecting a play by play. At best, porn games tend to be "vaguely inspired by".

The issue is the flip-flopping. One minute we are following the comic plot. The next scene, we are following the cartoon canon. The next scene, the comic never existed. The next: We have two character that are separate people in the comic/cartoon. Both existing at the same time. And now we are playing Wakfu?

That is my issue with it not being a "WITCH" game.
It has no direction. I even heard some talk from Patreon that we might fuck Kim Possible next update?
Just where exactly is the game going? We basically started at "snuff simulator", and several complete overhauls later: We seem to be heading towards an interdimensonal brothel?

If you check comments. People have no clue where the game is going. Some think it's gonna become a waifu simulator. That Cedric becomes a good guy and overthrows Phobos. Or become a pimp. Or that it keeps the original rape+murder intent.
The only thing we know is that we are gonna get copy pasted sex in a nice art style.

You made good points before, but now you are just saying the equivalent of judging a book for not having an end before knowing how it ends.

Cedric has been toned down from "Snuffman", to "rape and murder man" and now he is "only" down to "rape man". There has been clear tonal shifts. We even have it thrown in a more romantic date route with Elyon, along with spider lady to make Cedric seem less... horrible. I mean... he's still a child rapist. But... at least he doesn't kill people? Cedric still seems to change direction every update. Like, he picks up side quests worse than Link.

We have characters do 180, going from good to evil, from evil to good. Dozens of people have expressed concern about the massive plotholes. Whether or not this is gonna become a crossover brothel maker game. Where the story is even going. And the most we've gotten has been a hand waved "Don't worry about it./Because.". Along with how we'll feel stupid (Like what happened with MGS's Quiet) when we get the explanation of why nothing in the game makes sense and what is up with all the separate timelines and whatnot.

Now: I am not ruling it out that he does actually have a deus ex machina that ties everything together. Like: Cedric could be using the sands of time to be everywhere at once. And that is how he is able to act outside of time and space. but... Nothing hints towards that. And yes, on a number estimate: We are 10 % into the hypothetical book. I am not judging it for having no ending. But rather: That it's 10 % into the rough draft, and has been re-written 10 times. And we've basically yet to be introduced to the main character or the plot... that, and that like, 10 % of the current pages is the same one page copy pasted... and one chapter is from a different book series.

Look man, you seem like you are a smart guy, that's good, but to be sincere I bet besides you there are not many people wanting a deep lore/plot in their PORN game, I like the game, my only concern is that he won't forget about other characters like Susan (Will's mother) I want to fuck her, and probably she didn't get fucked by Cedrick in the original story, heck again this is a porn game and the author is pretty good at drawing I really like his art style and I'm one of those who are happy he made a Wakfu cameo because I like Wakfu so good art style plus Wakfu porn is a win-win for me, SexNote introduce a random celebrity character just because people ask the author to do it, at this point is not more about a Sex Note but >the dude who fuck the whole neighborhood and that happen with western games kinda often... deal with it.

Or if it was simply a "... this did not turn out the way I intended."
We have no clue or context as to which, or other reasons it may be.



I can comment on the story part from the prior comment: To me, that depends on a point of when it's "worth" to make a game. I have played games where the story was either completely pointless/irrelevant. Or directly opposed the porn/gameplay.
And/or where all you could do was grind minigames to progress, with 0 choices.
Witch Hunter is bordering to that imo. It would be a lot less work, and flow better as a VN or comic imo.
WH does have some interactive elements. But it's still more or less linear without choices. So it doesn't add a whole lot.
But I'd say it adds enough... even if most people just complain about the minigames.

I think Dev just lost direction when making this game, at first he want to make Witch hunter to both share some elements from the original cartoon but with a little bit more darker tone and with MC as bad as possible. But after getting lot of complains from supporters about it Somka decide to slowly change it to be more vanilla and follow with what fans wanted than tried to be different, don't know if it was a good or bad choice in the long term but for now because of those change I think it did hinder the game development and make the story didn't go anywhere yet
At least he did add the cheats right at the start of new game so people didn't need to grinding with those minigames which is much better, I really don't like working in the library at all

Beside completely remove Elyon's blackmail path, change the fate of her family from death to coma the dark elements still there: Cedric still an evil manipulate asshole, all Elyon friends still got raped and blackmailed as his toys, his goal still focus on pleasing his master,.... beside all the "romance" and toned down to make him seems to be more sympathetic than before
Hopefully Somka won't change or tone down any content and event in the future updates, the game was more fun to have evil MC than a guy that didn't know which side he's on right now

Like, at the start, you could chose between an evil or a good MC.

That way you can have vanilla and dark at the same time without having to remove anything?

You can't really "tone down" that by making his acts less evil.
And as noted: He STILL rapes a child. So... all this side quest nonsense is just... well, nonsense xD
Yes: It's random porn for the sake of porn. But it has nothing to do with the main plot... which as said: We could still get random porn scenes for the sake of porn... so not like we get less porn.

He is still a Gary Stu that can't fail at anything.
All his plans just work flawlessly regardless how useless they are solely due to "because porn".
I mean: At this point: He could literally "blackmail" his way into sex by threatening to out himself as a child molester at school xD

Satire aside: He should focus more on making the rape game this is set out to be. Possibly get a writer that can actually write good blackmail? But: With the recent fiasco... and, honestly: Being rather moot, I don't see that as a big possibility. (I can say that an actual writer could drastically improve the quality of scenes tone wise. But... then they also need to re-write all current scenes. Otherwise we just have a massive jump in quality. So: Might be just as well to embrace the current discount quality of "because porn".)

-Ish. That would technically double ALL work.
We are at 10 % after 4 years so... Re-doing the entire game, AGAIN. But as a good guy would be very... "see you in 2025" xD
Plus: It would split the focus of the game.
I would personally say that: A game where you play either a: Narcissistic, child rapist and murderer... or someone that isn't a complete monster, isn't exactly a good split xD

It could be done technically. But: This game doesn't need more side quests.
It would benefit from just yeeting out all the "irrelevant" side questing. Have him focus on the task given: Systematically rape and murder 5 girls. Prepare the 6'th to be ritually sacrificed, as he has been tasked.
I'd personally want to see the girls actually put up a fight. And get progressively more violent as he breaks them down.
But, if he wants to resume down the EZ mode Gary Stu route, that is an option.
