is there gonna be an update or it's gonna be a dead game ?
Vital parts of the game will be server side, like with MMOs. You would need to emulate this, on your own, if you wanted to allow this to not require an always online connection.

Porn and multiplayer are a bad combination xD

There will only be dudes playing; if you are into that, no problem. But I think, even nowadays, most people are still straight.
My understanding is there's not much interaction or 'gameplay' with other players, it's more about creating scenes and scenarios for others to enjoy, instead of roleplaying with some sweaty nerd pretending to be a girl online. I could be wrong though, they haven't given much detail about how it actually works.

:ROFLMAO:
It's still dead - because it has no gameplay, only sandbox.
the only dead thing around here is my dick after playing some of this shit

that means the game failed to load, but give it a while to load, like a few minutes if you use a hard disk
if it's not loaded even after like 10 minutes, you must have a PC that can't run the game

it's exactly as you described it. You can only see others if you want to, and you can only play their scenes if you want to.

What if I don't want the others to see my scene? Is there a way to keep it private?
You're on the internet. You should expect that nothing you do is going to be private. Your ISP already know you're looking something here. DNS over HTTPS isn't going to save you since your network packets contain transmission details. Then again, if they are looking hard and deep at the packets, they can still see this the route and your MAC address. Also, if you're on a cable modem, the network operator knows exactly what the details are for that cable modem. If you get a new modem, you need to call the operator and tell them specific details on a label. Just consider that nothing you do on the internet is private. Life is easier that way. My ISP knows I visit this site. They may not know the pages I hit, but they know I come here. It doesn't matter if this site has a certificate.

In the discord channel, developer Helius elaborated a little bit with answering Q&As.
Interaction consists of being able to see the names of players (you're able to hide your name if you choose), and giving other players "likes". apart from entering into an animation with someone and letting it play out, this is the extent of multiplayer interaction.
The interesting part is that you can use your "likes" to unlock costumes and items, according to Helius dev. If you don't like multiplayer, you don't have to play it and you are still able to unlock the same content by playing the single player campaign mode. However, some animations will only be viewable in multiplayer/harem mode. I'm not sure if the campaign will have its own unique scenes or not.

Thank god for DLSite. Still... This sounds bad. more obstacles associated with making an online mode and having a steam release. If steam pushes back, I don't see how maintaining both a DLSite and a Steam release (let alone integrating them) will be practical or even achievable. I'm afraid that if they can't get the game up on steam like they want, the hassle of managing "cut and uncut" releases simultaneously will be too much, and removing the contentious content is the more viable option. I think we can assume steam will continue to push back, it depends on how hard and how long they keep it up. The developers are potentially setting a very powerful precedent for the future of other niche porn games with high production standards entering mainstream markets. It sounds like they're willing to fight for it, too. Valve is a big company though. unfortunately, the patrons will suffer the most as this ordeal will only eat up more time that could have gone into game development.

DLsite is actively backing the development of Fallen Doll. Worst case scenario if Steam is unpermissive and we have to cut the sex scenes per their demand, we will release a DLsite version with user data shared between the Steam and DLsite servers.

It could end up like the Subverse situation. Banned in select countries like Germany. It would allow them to have less content needing to be cut world wide on steam while still receiving the market reach that steam possesses. Japan based developers have needed to have two versions of games before on steam, so it's not unfeasible.

I'm still worried about the gameplay situation. That will be the deciding factor if I want to buy the game. The website says: "erotic rogue-lite tactical game." Rogue-lite is easier to make then a well balanced Rogue-like, but making good games is still hard. If they somehow manage to pull off having a somewhat fun game loop, while ("sticking it to the man") releasing the full game somewhere. I'd be impressed and buy that shit fast.

It's a nightmare, and I appreciate their effort but it seems unlikely they'll be able to pull it off.

I would consider purchase, but I would never want to include a porn game in my steam library (which I share with family) and Steam doesn't support using two accounts on the same computer. I also think that online multiplayer would not be something I would enjoy, and the gameplay they've shown looks unappealing. Basically, all the complaints others have made.

They started with something good - arguably the best VR sex gallery available. And they're going to hide that under a pile of nonsense.
