Could you move the game to your desktop, start a new game and skip the tutorial then look in the profile folder and see if there is a sub folder with your name in there
Did as you asked, now "Profile" contains "[Character Name]" "History" & "Settings" folders, but the [Character Name] folder is empty.

That means I'm afraid where you unpacked the game you didn't have permissions so although you might have been saving the game, wherever it was on your PC the game couldn't create a new save so I'm sorry all your progress is lost.
If you look around the thread I'm sure you will find a save from a previous version though and you can continue from that, I can't give you a save as all mine are test saves and bugged to hell

Ok, will give this a shot. MoH was great albeit very grindy, but was a quality game. Not expecting less here.

Not sure what went wrong. Downloaded and Extracted to my "Downloads" folder where I have always done with every game and have never had an issue remotely like this. I'll probably start a new game, but would appreciate a post showing how to avoid this issue with future updates.

No idea how you encountered the issue in the first place, but for future, always retain the Profile folder & all of its contents.
As long as you have that, you will have your saves.
When you Extract, always do it to the root of the folder, not inside the previous game's one. Seen a number of people run into problems this way. Particularly with folder lists that are too long.
As long as you have admin rights to your Downloads folder, where you extract the game to, you should be fine.

The way I tell people to avoid this is to create a folder on the root of the drive you use (c:\, d:\, whatever) called "Games", and then for each game create a a folder with a VERY contracted name (for example, Faerin's games are "MoTH" and "MyMa").

Put the game's zip/rar in that folder, and then unzip there.

WHY:

1) Makes sure you can create the folder on the root in the first place (you'd be surprised how many people can't).
2) The contracted names make sure you don't run into the full name being too long (the 128/256 character limit problem).
3) If you execute the extraction of the new version from the game's parent folder in this structure (in this case, D:\Games\MyMa\V6_0.rar, right-click on the .RAR file and say "Extract Here"), it creates the folder for the new version and doesn't over-write the old (except for the rare game that isn't compressed into a folder).
4) This usually makes sure save files aren't auto-overwritten by the extraction (Ren'py using the global saves, and Unity stuff normally in the local folder except for some rare exceptions).

Using the downloads folder, some version of program files, or any other system-parented directory usually results in permission issues, which in turn causes save problems, version overlap/overwrite issues and general higgledy-piggledy scenarios.

Maybe this has been asked before but is it possible to add a small overview of the "Inventory" (items & cards) onto the planning screen when you hover over the staff member's picture, see attached?
So you have all information in one glance and you do not have to go to staff screen to check for the achievement percentages.

Come to think of it; maybe first complete all the artsy pictures on the cards in stead of the words 'Under Development'. :cautious:

With the Olympics in mind I hope for some synchronised swimming in the future.

I have replicated the black screen problem myself on a laptop I have which had only windows 10 20h2 installed, and yes you must have Visual C++ 2015 x86 runtime to be able to play the game, otherwise you'll see the black screen issue but the play goes on until you reach Isabella and you have to choose the first card (if you play the introduction) but you can't choose anything.
If you haven't Visual C++ 2015 x86 runtime and you skip the introduction you'll only see that Julia says some senteces but the program stacks at the sentence "Why don't you find the lobby and click on its icon to go there?"
I have seen that someone has added the Black screen Fix inside Installation Section, I think that no one will read it if it stays there, is better to put it outside the Installation instructions.

Faerin: can't you write in the startup game screen that Visual C++ x86 runtime is a must have to play the game? Probably we can lower the black screen issue or freezing problem that people continue to say?

EDIT: I have also tried with Visual C++ 2015-2019 x86 and the games works correctly. If you have only any x64 version it doesn't work. The latest Visual C++ 2015-2019 x86 version can be downloaded from or if anyone wants the latest version of Visual C++ Runtime can go to this .

So my problem is that when I run the game it will only show unity, after that a loading screen and it says loading done.
then I can't do anything just a black screen. I've tried both Visual C++ x86 and 64 and neither work. I litterely can't find the solution so any help is welcome

In my opinion is better than MoH, but is way more grindy than MoH
Yikes! If this is true, then this game is a no go for me. IMO, Man of the House is the gold standard of taking 2 hours of actual story and visuals, and stretching it to 20+ hours of "gameplay." LOL!

No bueno!

Without wanting to sound too arrogant (some arrogance is probably seeping out though, sorry): you have not played a lot of the sandbox games on here then. MotH is in my experience definitely in the lower half of games with an actual grind (for money, stats, what have you). Try Lucky Mark or LSSB without cheats, heck, even Summertime Saga has more. Hero's Harem Guild. All good games to me, to you - probably not so much.

But within the Faerinverse (they must play in the same universe, they have the same Café, even though one is in the neck of the woods and one is in Amsterdam some large city), yeah, this one has more than MotH I'd say. Not a lot more, but more nonetheless.

(Also I would argue that MotH has more, way more than two hours of "story and visuals", but that will always depend on how fast you consume one)

This has to be up there with one of the most interesting starts to disappointing actual gameplay transitions ever for me.
