Almost every new area I went to I'll always encounter the black knight(black presence) because of my sins. You guys said that there's a guys that can absolve your sins in exchange for souls but I can't seem to find him anywhere.

Is there something I'm missing here?

You might've killed him, or he didn't appear yet. Also, I think you need to beat 3-4 bosses before he appears, try that.
It's pain in the ass but you can usually dodge black rider and speedrun through map.

EDIT: Checked source, you should go here after killing 2 bosses.

Hanzel and Gretel case is probably the worst offender for locking out. You can miss some things, but there's almost nothing significant like that. Using colored souls has no negative consequences.
If Crestfallen Hero left the Holy Forest, you may find him right past the mayor's house in the Rotten Burg.

did u guys know "shadowmoon blade" weapon that deal damage based on Attack and Sin Count? I deal massive damage with that weapon even other skills didnt deal too high damage , and what did it cost? the saint girl committed suicide , the female knight left me(maybe she already turned into demonbeast), and the black trial more often hunt me. eventhough i made Sin build that can 1-2 shot boss, im still a bit scared exploring area.
