the unisex is just a porn fantasy
In my country, while I was attending the University, physical education was unisex (and I guess it still is) and we always played basketball, handball, volleyball etc. in teams with both guys and girls. In the year above mine there was a dwarf btw and I'm pretty sure he could play with the rest if he wanted to. I never played for any tournament though, they were just normal activities during the lessons.

I'm surprised people aren't talking about Ayua more. She's hilarious.
"Now I want to have sex with MC. You said I can't have it! Now I want it!".
Ayua's great, she's my #2 currently, but mostly because we can't spend with her any quality time yet. Maybe soon though she'll beat Bella for me as MC will start learning kung fu from her.

Hmm.. now that you say it, in my country we were kinda mixed in PE class in highschool, but it was by no mean competitive. And no more PE class after high school (college or university)

We weren't mixed in highschool, only at uni and it wasn't competitive either. We had PE after school though if someone was trying for competitive tourneys, I had after school chess lessons and games while at grammar school for example. So for me the basketball game in SG wasn't weird at all.

Ummmm .... I hate to bring this up as I am enjoying the game so much, but it's "martial arts studio", not "martarial arts studio". May I respectfully suggest either spell check or a proofreader, as it detracts from the otherwise incredible visuals of the game? I would definitely suggest either a proofreader or professional writer before you go "big time" as the amazing visuals, which surpass 95% of what I have seen would definitely suggest that you are going in that direction, if not doing demos for a professional career in the animation field.

That's kinda true man, as much as I love this VN it definitely needs proof readers.

I understand english isn't ocean's first language but the dialogue suffers from being stiff and robotic sometimes because of its weird structure

The protagonist sometimes says shit no human being says and complicates it so much so that it feels like a waste of breath to say things that way lmao

While I may have not been so brutal because I am a fellow game developer, your criticism is not without merit. A proofreader, or someone that has a decent grasp of colloquial English, is definitely needed here. The author's visual skills are definitely without question, but the deficits in the actual storytelling are distracting from what is arguably one of the best VNs out there.

I'll actually take back bits of what I have said, it has gotten better, specially in the bits of the newly remade scenes in chapter 1.

And it's not as if the whole dialogue in-game is bad and incomprehensible, it's not, it's just that conversations sometimes don't flow naturally because the way the words are structured seem - how do I say this right - inefficient to native speakers; which is why it comes off as something living, breathing and speaking people don't say.

Like the protagonist's hair, I've actually gotten used to it, but some people who are keen on dialogue might not take it well, ocean definitely needs a proofreader and a grammar checker guy.

Bruh
When the MC eventually visits Ayua's martial arts studio in the near future I wonder who else might be there. An older Miru, Katie Zane or one or more of the Zane clan maybe? He's also got a sleepover booked at Victoria's with Victoria and Mila, while Maja is away, a game playing session with Nadia, Nancy and friends to attend with Nami, and a luxurious upmarket gala to go to with Bella at some point to look forward to. (y) Our favourite anti-hero is going to be quite a busy boy all things considered whether he wants to be or not. :)

I really think you all are missing the mark here lol. I believe the robotic way the MC talks is intentional, it's a way to show just how unsocialized he is compared to the other characters. I mean this person has been avoiding all social contact for years and years of course he doesn't speak like a normal person and the other characters have made fun of him for it at times. But as you mentioned it has been getting better in chapter 3.5 and I think that's also intentional to help show his growth as his friends help socialize him and make him more normal. Of course he talks like an overly poetic robot, he doesn't know any colloquialisms or vernacular because he hasn't been involved in society to learn them so talks like a person who knows English from reading lofty books and sad poetry lol.

I think it actually helps with the story building and the characters having their own voices. A lot of the characters do talk like normal people even if that means the English isn't always grammatically correct just like 99% of people don't talk with perfect grammar in real life spoken dialogue even if they write that way lol. I think it's a nice change to have character's with real voices unlike most VNs where the only way to distinguish which character is talking is by reading the name on the text box because they all sound EXACTLY the same! With SG you can tell by how the characters talk whether it's the MC, Bella, Nami, etc. and that is missing from sooo many other VNs.

There are of course some spelling errors like the "Martial Arts" example but Ocean has a proofreader as he has said in Patron posts so i'm sure those will be caught but hopefully the voices of the characters stay the same and they talk in weird ways sometimes or don't always have perfect grammar because that's how real people talk. And i'm sure we will see the MC talk more normal and wax less poetically as he becomes more of a normal socialized adult and less of an outcast who doesn't talk to anyone and shuns all social contact lol.

I can't really blame him for missing the scene, because if I remember correctly, it only shows up if you don't kiss Bella. And let's be honest, not kissing Bella is hard. Really hard. :devilish:
I could be wrong but I think that part actually shows up whether the MC had kissed Bella or not. I think it's part of the conversation in the locker room about the MC/Robin situation which led to Nami saying the girls can't have MC.

It is, but that conversation is different depending on whether you kissed Bella or not.

Just checked, and the scene, where Ayua talks about wanting to have sex with the MC only happens if you didn't kiss Bella and got caught with Robin in the bathroom stall. The whole thing is triggered by Bella getting jealous when hearing about the bathroom stall incident and the girls realizing she is in love with the MC.
