Defending Lydia Collier v.0.11.3 Au Alpha Released!
Hello,
Defending Lydia Collier v.0.11.3 Au has now been released to Alpha Testers.
There shouldn't be any bugs arising from adding audio, but with nearly 150 different individual sounds, ambiences and backing tracks being added they're just going to run through it and check everything appears to work as intended and then it will be released (hopefully without any changes) to Early Access very shortly.

Hey guys, I'm running some polls on what to do post Defending Lydia Collier and Shadows Over Manston as I have a ton of ideas and as I finish off the two current games in the current months I need to fine tune these for the next games, especially as some of them may appear outlandish, and some player feedback would be useful to have. If you would like to fill out this form and let me know what you think -

Very nice indeed , and i think you will find here some good opinions, even though we pirate , we still play enjoy and can share ideas or be part of testing.
One ideea i liked from the survey would be the "cheating" part (yeah i know pandora box opened here), but implementing something like this without being a much hated ntr would be something good.
Lets face it , we wont more story development and much believeble worldbuild, but a man with a harem isnt actually new and interesting anymore. I mean make a cast of girls that you can romance/friends with benefits etc but also bring consequences of cheating with multiple partners , ignoring the girls , betraying their trust and so on. I mean in all the games we mostly focus on 1, 2 girls and leave the rest in the background. So the others having other sex partners/lovers would make the relationship between characters believeble , and well a challange for us to chose and mentain said relationships.
I don't really want to make any content where the MC gets cucked by another dude or cheats on him, unless its a lesbian affair which I'm okay with but not pushing for, it is just an idea. The MC on the other hand generally can cheat in my games, a big problem originally with SoM was making too many girls available and not being able to render all their scenes. I've gone from a GTX780 to now a RTX3090 over my three years development, so this new game when I eventually get around to it will have a much bigger cast and more interactions with different girls and conflicts for sure. There's a lot I've learnt from making DLC that is too late to implement now, but that I want to add in my next venture.
I think cucked isnt the correct term used. You can chose steph over vanessa and that locks you out of her romance option , where is the cucked in that if she finds someone else instead of MC. It doesnt even count as ntr in the true sense of the word cause well we already made our choice and ignored her altogether.
Even so i understand the fear of devs with such lets say sensitive content for most here (i mean some even play porn games to hide insecurities and feel alpha) , where they would complain and call it “ntr” garbage.DS tailored his game exclusive to his high paying patreons ,but the quallity sinked there over time. Still i dont think lesbian is more credible , this idea is tricky to implement to make it work , still it is kimda overused ( dont know why people are so okay with lesbian ntr? it undermines the mc more than a classic man-woman ntr in terms of manliness) .
I dont doubt the quality of your games will increase both from a technical and storywise point of view , still making a mature story with interesting characters that arent the classic sluts or damsels in distress should be always top priority cause well that makes the game different from any other porn material.

P.S. i didnt mean the games should show the girls having sex with others besides Mc , an image where we can see them at dinner in a car or simply implied is more than enough.
There is something I don't understand with Stephanie's path. How does she become your girlfriend so fast after only two dates?
And it also seems to block other routes as well. If I break up with her after founding she was a stripper, instead of her it's Jenna who shows up at the rugby match and I haven't even tested other routes to see how many events I missed if I go out with her.
Does this continue if you stay on her route? Shouldn't we at least be able to see the other routes and choose if we want to stay or not?

You meet Steph and you can buy her lunch .. your choice.
You meet Vane and you can be cool or not.
You need to hold your own - be inquisitive in the interrogation with Vane,
be straight forward looking at Steph during her bright dress dinner date.
You actually have tons of dates - 5 dated before she stays with you,
but unless you take her home to live with you, she will dissapear.
Steph becomes your GF only if you do not break up with her on the 2 times you
find out her past caught up to her and you are genuinely interested to bolt,
because her ex is vindictive AF and will come 4 you as she did 4 Steph.
So .. no, it is 5 dates and 2 missed opportunities, plus the revelation
that she is living hell at home, at which point you could offer her refuge or not.
You need to stick by her, through Vane. You choose Vane, you are done with Steph,
which is very much 4 your own good, as Vane is Stephs superior and you would
be fkkd for stringing them both as they work together and you woul dbe a shmuck
at best.

What I find disappointing is that at some time you're locked on a route (I played Steph's) without warning and without the game handling it. So I fooled with Ellie and almost fucked her, but choosing to go see Steph instead of Ellie when the choice presents itself locked me on Steph route. BUT then the game ignores the fact I fooled with Ellie and acts as if I never did. Ellie stops flirting with you without a word

I love this game story but its just too buggy dev, those laptop and phone feature is completely useless.. Better learn from where the heart is or wvm developers.. They make a very simple vn game but perfectly executed

Yo mate, I don't want to come off as a twat so please do take this as constructive criticism and nothing more, but the sex scenes in your game could use some work. I think they would be infinitely better with some buildup. Like some foreplay or some more dialogues during the act, and it lasting a bit longer. You don't have to animate or anything. But if they could be a bit more drawn out with a few more lines of dialogue, changing positions, and buildup to the actual penetration, I think that would be great. Other than that I think your game is absolutely brilliant and you've obviously put a lot of effort into the world building and it really helps the game. I absolutely love it.
I also have a question. The government is already spying on us and our digital activities. So if they were really involved in all of it, wouldn't MC's laptop and phone be compromised easily in a world where the government is already planning to become tyrants?

Woah there Leslie. This dev has nothing to learn in terms of execution from the wvm creator(s). They took a simple idea and turned into a massive ballache, whereas I actually care about and am interested in the way more believable characters in Lydia Collier. You are also wrong about the laptop and phone - if you think about what's going on instead of going straight to fap mode and skipping text, there's a reasonably detailed plot going on around you. The FB equivalent is a stroke of genius.
Sure, the quick decision Steph/Ellie is a shame, but stringing Ellie along while dating Vanessa is great fun.

Sorry, but no. As I read through the thread post update, it seems most of people's bugs stem from using out-of-date mods, incompatible saves, editors, that sort of stuff.
Whenever occasional legitimate bug slips through the cracks, WhitePhantom is immediately on top of things, going out of his way to provide fixes and tech support even here on F95, even if he happens to be on vacation.
