Hello, I've been looking into the "it shall not be named" protection (DRM) used by Shiravune, and might have a chance of handling it (removing it), so I'm looking to find someone to cooperate on getting this work done.
I'll need the game files, they can be posted in this thread when the game comes out and if they are willing to help with getting it to run on my machine: this means either one offline activation or a serial or maybe running a tool that extracts the values I need from the memory (or by calling the licensing dll), of course I am willing to provide the source code to such a tool if you wish to see what is in it.
For some of the previous games it was possible to cheat and steal some values from the japanese version of the game, in this case, while the exe might work (it's not yet known, but it is likely), the actual pointers the protection removes (encrypts) from that exe are likely to be more than a hundred in number and manually guessing or fixing them would be unpleasant and very time consuming, so it might be easier to extract them from the running, actually functional activated game and do a proper crack. This estimate is based on the japanese game exe if the protection was applied to it and it worked the same as the previous games.
Send me a PM if you wish to try this (if you bought the game). If not, there's some chinese cracker (I'm not sure from where, maybe 2djgame or some other place) that seems to be doing these cracks in a timely manner, like even about same day cracks, and maybe they will get it done for this game too, their cracks do seem like they might be based on activated dumps of the game, at least earlier ones.
I'd also be very interested in getting a copy of the clean executables (exe and dlls) from other Shiravune games (as they are all using that protection), so far I only have one: megasuki's exe, which proved quite useful. It's a shame people will upload precracked copies and not even leave the original executables for others to be able to crack themselves or reverse the protection...
Yet, of course, cracking this might be completely pointless if there's extra censorship or removed content and someone has to reuse the official translation and insert it into the original japanese version.
