I read a lot of doubts about this release. It is not my first alicesoft title, but it is the first of this publisher, who is more informed than me, could you tell me what is the source of the concerns? the DRM? fear of removed material? Has something similar happened before?

Shiravune is owned by DMM and DMM also owns the Johren storefront which was created to focus on the English and Chinese markets. Thus, they are trying to push more people onto Johren by making their eroge and visual novel releases either timed or forever exclusives on Johren. Johren has a policy currently where every single of the releases has DRM. And that is not mentioning the many issues with Johren currently such as it being hard to contact support, no refund policy, lack of stable payment methods which causes many users to not be able to complete transactions, and many other issues with Johren. They censored one of the games in the Megasuki series. They censored out the shota main character with a light ray during sex scenes. It wasn't found until several months after release likely because not many people played it or knew it was out of place. Then a month or so after that, Shiravune released a patch for it. Johren also released Eiyu * Senki WWX, a gacha game now translated into English. And they censored a bunch of sex scenes by cropping and editing them to avoid showing certain body parts.

Hello, I've been looking into the "it shall not be named" protection (DRM) used by Shiravune, and might have a chance of handling it (removing it), so I'm looking to find someone to cooperate on getting this work done.
I'll need the game files, they can be posted in this thread when the game comes out and if they are willing to help with getting it to run on my machine: this means either one offline activation or a serial or maybe running a tool that extracts the values I need from the memory (or by calling the licensing dll), of course I am willing to provide the source code to such a tool if you wish to see what is in it.
For some of the previous games it was possible to cheat and steal some values from the japanese version of the game, in this case, while the exe might work (it's not yet known, but it is likely), the actual pointers the protection removes (encrypts) from that exe are likely to be more than a hundred in number and manually guessing or fixing them would be unpleasant and very time consuming, so it might be easier to extract them from the running, actually functional activated game and do a proper crack. This estimate is based on the japanese game exe if the protection was applied to it and it worked the same as the previous games.
Send me a PM if you wish to try this (if you bought the game). If not, there's some chinese cracker (I'm not sure from where, maybe 2djgame or some other place) that seems to be doing these cracks in a timely manner, like even about same day cracks, and maybe they will get it done for this game too, their cracks do seem like they might be based on activated dumps of the game, at least earlier ones.
I'd also be very interested in getting a copy of the clean executables (exe and dlls) from other Shiravune games (as they are all using that protection), so far I only have one: megasuki's exe, which proved quite useful. It's a shame people will upload precracked copies and not even leave the original executables for others to be able to crack themselves or reverse the protection...
Yet, of course, cracking this might be completely pointless if there's extra censorship or removed content and someone has to reuse the official translation and insert it into the original japanese version.

I haven't seen it confirmed, but I'm going to say yes. This publisher censors and cuts content.
it's a japanese storefront all their games have mosaics. it's more the editing or removal people are worried about.
But every AliceSoft eroge that have been released into the United States have been uncensored.
the game is much more harder probably to publish then rance and evenicle. it's a game about kidnapping people and basically force them to sell the hentai service lol. quite alot of girls on the steam ban stuff.. i can see many reason also very new game and they already have alot of other game to translate. it's probably a mix. johren is owned by a big japanese company. they have the leeway. vn or hentai games is a ticking bomb. you never know when mainstream media would attack or other kind of goverment etc. western translator never want big eyes on them.

Than it would only be a matter of time before MangaGamer releases it uncensored.
