Main difference is that he search feature doesn't work for NSFW on Patreon. They're ashamed to tell they make a lot of money from porn.
shocking to nobody at all that has been alive in the last 10 years....its like its actually something to be ashamed of, human needs. my god what a world we live in.

sarcasm aside, it seems that sites that try and be both "family friendly" as well as "adult friendly" end up just acting twofaced *glares at twitch* even sites that should not have been two-faced. fun times we live in.

seeing as I'm only 2 pages left to read to catch up and I'm now having a lazy fit, to answer what others seemingly *assuming here based on 2 pages I gave up reading to catch up on* did not answer yet. short answer: its not about the money FROM the Kickstarter they are primarily seemingly after, its the extra publicity as a means to an end, they want more team members to seemingly do a final push for the end release, Patreon is one of those things that does not get as much publicity as kickstarter. I have used kickstarter and backed a project before, with Kickstarter's site, anyone is free to browse projects active on the site, patreon does not have a similar aspect to the site, so just by putting up a kickstarter, whether it succeeds in the goal of funding or not, you get extra eyes on your project even if you do not succesfully meet your fund raising goal, so just by putting it out there, they get what seems to be their bigger goal of finding more developers/animators/designers to add to the team.

so, to summarize, they're making a Kickstarter with the primary goal being more development team members, secondary goal to be a final funding push to try and pay for those new team members for a big push right before release.

obviously I'm not a part of the dev team, so take what I'm saying with a "grain of salt" however thats what I read into by way of reading the post and what I know about the two prior mentioned sites of Kickstarter and patreon.
Kickstarter doesn't market or advertise for you though. You as the creator of the kickstarter is responsible to draw attention to your kickstarter just as creators on Patreon is responsible to draw people to their patreon. So screaming from the top of a rooftop come check out our patreon, or come check out or kickstarter have about the same effect. As for release, looking at the state of things now, that more than likely a few years off still.

Only times I been drawn towards a kickstarter is when I been made aware of it. Like creators did some means of publicity/awareness of it. Very few people just randomly visit kickstarter to browse through things. As I mentioned above in another post. If they had done early access on steam, steam would both promote and do recommendations as they do with other games on the platform. A demo doesn't qualify for either.

Guess what happens if you type in NSFW in the "search for creator" on Patreon...

Maybe I'm blind, but the only search feature I do find on Patreon, is for creators. And just type in something as NSFW in the search box bring up things such as;

creating Kinky/Futanari Hentai Art (NSFW R-18+)

creating NSFW, Asian, Milf, Sexy, Latino, Videos, Erotic, 18+ Adult

The main thing is.. Patreon doesn't promote or advertise for your Patreon, that is the creators responsibility.

eh, never said I was correct, only stated what I understood and perceived from what I saw. yea, if you do no work trying to advertise yourself, leaving it in the hands of other platforms just means not many people will find out about you. as for how long they have, honestly? with what I've seen of it, assuming the last version I saw was recent enough to current, it might even be more than a few years off to be fair, though, again, cant see whats done on the coding side given I'm not part of the team, only guessing here. definitely curious what the cost to buy the end product will be given this actually seems like it'll be a damn good end product, for those of us that are into this kind of niche porn content.

Seeing people complain on steam about crashes and hard freeze's/lock ups... I feel solving such issues should been a priority. End up fry someone's computer would scare people away rather than attract.

I mean....if were going to talk about frying peoples computers, ya can't NOT mention amazons "new world"....I literally saw a video ... and yet, somehow, people don't seem to care and just keep playing it...talk about gluttony for punishment there. brand new 3090s, and these people are playing the game that is literally sending them up in smoke.

then again, in hindsight, I really cant say much given I still laugh that my first attempt at my storage server ended up making an arc welder with my power supply... lesson learned that day, power calculations are not good enough if you forget to make sure its a single 12 volt rail design...ended up trying to pull 600 watts from a 150 watt 12 volt rail... fun outcome, and just to be clear, I'm being sarcastic, a welding sound is never something you want an electronic device to make. needless to say, I killed the power supply, though, in all honestly hearing the TING from the one way diode on the motherboard, turning into a bullet to the side of the case was actually rather amusing when it was all done and over with.

Is the UPLOADHAVEN link safe? it just sends me to a site that downloaded an exe
whenever you download anything from uploadhaven, when you click the download button, it will always open a pop up, you close that immediately and click the download button again, then it should be downloading the actual file.

They did put RTX 2060 as minimum and RTX 3070 as recommended GPU on the steam page for their demo. This was later changed to GTX 1060 as minimum, still RTX 3070 as recommended. With the state of the chips market in the world today, get a RTX 3070 or within the range will cost you an arm or a leg.

The game is badly optimized. You could have the best rig ever and it still prone to hard crash and lock up your comp.

The kickstarter was about hire more people afaik. Not about turn it into a rpg or not, although labeled as a "action rpg" among other tags on Steam.

Sometimes creators make up for bad optimization and spagetti code with brute force...

Looking at other games that use UE4, like Gears 5, Conan Exiles. Jedi Fallen order. Or even look towards games that always been rather demanding the METRO series (although they use their own A4 engine), and the latest Metro Exodus. That all have recommended in the 1070/1660 range.

they don't really actively make up for anything if they do that, all they do is slap a better component in the game sys req

Well, I call it brute force when you put higher requirement on hardware to compensate for bad optimization.

seems better optimized than the latest version, at least on my toaster.
in any case to booster the fps by 50% just disable the motion blur and lower the Fx quality (they don't seem to make any diff in this version).
Than if u want more lower the shadow and apply reshade, tweaking a couple of fx you have better results than the game itself maxed out

It depends on where you go. I went to Micro Center a few weeks ago because my RX 580 and my brother and I each got a 3060 ti at retail price. It helps that Micro Center isn't having it when it comes to scalpers. Each customer can only purchase one GPU every 30 days from there.

That said Wild Life runs better than ever on my 3060. I thought about upgrading my CPU later too but with this I don't need to yet.
