Went digging around in game files and found a bunch of formulas in data\gamesystem\battle\PluginBattleCalc.ks.

Aside from the UI mod, any interesting mods that might be considered for this game?

Is dimension slash changed from VBF? I believe it used to give a flat 75% defense cut and the number was for the parry %.

Also, does slayer defense over 100 do anything?

Also, is there any limitation on command skills stacking? Command division 10 seems better than any boost skills you can get and it's on a pretty low tier tactica. Seems like it's the right choice on support units if you don't particularly need a specific thing on them.

Greetings guys! Need help! Ah how do you make money in this game? Having a hard time keeping with the enemy pumping up unlimited new units every single turn and I always run out of money or gold to heal or replenish my troops?!

is this a way to make life easy like having more money? and I have no idea how healer units works in this game?!

Thanks in advance!

Bought this wonderful piece of art recently, very few game developers can beat Alicesoft in creating wonderful VNs. Any tutorials out there like the one for VenusBlood Frontier which maximizes CG in just 1 play-through ? Love these games but more than 1 play-through kills the joy for me.

Would appreciate any english tutorial !!! (Already saw the 3 PDF)

Yeah... Gonna play easy mode on my next playthrough. I started playing the game for the very first time in normal mode and pretty difficult but its very enjoyable to play nonetheless!

its a miracle I manage to finished conquering both Rakshasa and Necrograd?! Now I'm off to conquering the Principality of Archlond!

Wish me luck hahahahahaha!

Hmm... okay, Its a beginner's mistake I guess lol! I've just recently realize how useful is anora (awakened version) as a healer, but she can only heal non undead and not wraith units. I was an idiot including her on my undead division unit?! I only understood now that there's different kinds of healers that's meant for undead/demons and for living creatures?!

By the Gods this Visual Novel SRPG is pretty deep....

Thanks for the advice everyone!

Another question about units, is it possible to hire the same unit multiple times? like the AI/enemy having many centurion and Merkava on the same division for example?

I tried hiring the same unit twice before I could only have one type of unit in my division? somehow the game doesn't allow you to hired the same units multiple times or is there a trick that I didn't know on how to do it?

On Very Hard with NG+ I barely beat Vergius on the map and in his first form, but I wasn't ready for the "true law route". Pretty much impossible for my setup, each enemy division has 30k power with upped stats while my own only has 20k power. It doesn't help that I failed with my replies to the girls and lost a bunch of Law/Chaos points, unable to unlock the three strongest Tactica (and characters) even with 20 bonus points from the difficulty. I guess I'm done with the gameplay of this game, it was a fun ride but it started to get tiring after 100+ hours. I'll do my next lap on easy with map skips and then return difficulty to normal on true end missions.

Anyone have comprehensive information on attack redirection? Like how exactly forward guard, miss and defensive tactics work and how they can be bypassed. I thought I understood them but things aren't working like I expected.

edit: I think I found what I was looking for here it's for frontier but hopefully it still applies. Of course miss, vanguard's honor and formations don't exist in frontier so doesn't help with those.

If you use fixed forms, can you still unlock new forms like Courtesan Sylvia and such?

What do you mean by fixed forms? about Courtesan Sylvia, I was able to get that unit type by through chaos route and I was able to also keep the original Sylvia (awakened version) too!

Which means you'll have 2 units types of Sylvia! however im not sure if you can get all of the Sylvia units in one playthrough since there are different perquisites in acquiring them? Just read the walkthrough, the info on how to get them is there!

Fixed forms is a carry over option after finishing a run with Sylvia in a form other than the original. You've answered the question though.

Backer scene units (Promise/Maiden Anora, Fairy/Kitty Liese, Gal/Courtesan Sylvia, Innocent Ayame, Mini Elea, Doll Tsubaki, Beach Julia) are completely separate units and don't count as form changes. The only units that have a new form on both routes are Leon and Sylvia (assuming you do friendship events on Law and training events on Chaos). Not sure if you need to play with default Leon to unlock his route-exclusive form for selection on subsequent playthroughs, but I'd go default to be safe. As for Sylvia, her weakened form on Law isn't really worth unlocking, so if you went Chaos first, feel free to play with fixed form for her.

Vanguard's Honor redirects standard (non-Flanking/Ranged) attacks to the division that has it if that division is before the targeted one in the battalion. Defense Formation redirects standard attacks to the unit that has it if the target is after that unit in the division (Guarder in slot 2 covers units in slots 3,4,5,6, but not slot 1). Forward Guard redirects all attacks to the unit that has it if the target is immediately before it in the division (slot 2 covers slot 1). Target Miss works like Forward Guard, except in reverse (unit with Target Miss in slot 1 redirects all attacks to slot 2; slot 2 is forced to cover slot 1).

Thanks, I figured that out myself, what was confusing me was that defensive tactics seems to do nothing, flank and range are apparently epidemic on hard difficulty(?) and forward guard can be messed up by miss. I figuered it out while watching noel's original team get taken apart that in a solo battle during the prologue. Monkey targets mandragora (5) who miss redirects to kobold (6) who is covered by forward guard but FG dosn't trigger because it was a miss redirect not a normal attack so kobold dies and the mandra gets killed next since the since it's redirected slot (6) is dead presumably.

That's an interesting interaction (or failure to interact, I guess). I can't recall ever having Forward Guard and Target Miss in a chain like that. Good to know it doesn't work.

Generally, most units with Target Miss are built to be decoys anyway. Put them in slot 6 with Guarder in slot 1. The Guarder blocks standard attacks with Defense Formation and catches flanking or ranged attacks via redirection.
