It's not a tolerance thing. A musician doesn't necessarily play the same genre or write about the same subject matter their whole career. An actor doesn't have to play the same kind of characters they're famous for. Why is it a waste of talent when someone makes content other than stuff you personally like? What about the people who like the new stuff? Is the Sex Arcade series a waste because it's very different than what he's mainly drawing now?

I'll agree that the art style is noticeably different, but I don't see it as bad. The colors aren't as loud and the proportions aren't as exaggerated, but his drawing skills are still objectively good. The anatomy and shading look great and the new subject matter, poses, etc showcase things you'd otherwise not know he'd be capable of if he just stuck to Sex Arcade. Obviously I like his Sex Arcade stuff, why else would I be watching an abandoned thread that last updated in 2019? You have to admit, even with the different characters and poses all slightly different, they still feel same-y. I had been watching his stuff before he even pitched Sex Arcade as an actual game, but even then I felt like he'd eventually burn out. I'm surprised the dude spent as many years as he did drawing the same poses and expressions.
Sex Arcade probably the best one he do in his carrier and the beginning of the attention he gets.

It a waste due to purposely downgrading himself to push out more content when we see him before at his best. It was like someone new decided to take the mantle and the original creator move on from it.

You literally read my mind. This is what i thought when see his new works and style. I thought someone, different person buy the title and continue the art he does lol. It's drastically different. Was big fan of him way before sex arcade and after seeing sex arcade game, my interest is grown more.. yet here we are. Dude is money hungry i guess

never understood this tolerance stuff. So if i dont like something and if someone takes time to develop something i dont like i cant think his talents are wasted?
Oh, Precious child, you can think that, but why do you get so upset when someone else thinks otherwise? There are people on the other side of your computer screen, not chatbots programmed to agree with you. I also happen to dislike Sabu's new stuff, but Sabu himself is a human being who has zero obligation to draw what you or I want. So no, it's not wasted talent. It's just wasted on you. And your reaction to having someone disagree with you is as old, and as human, as the Sermon on the Mount. Cast not pearls before swine, indeed.

Hard to say. Dude obviously has a lot of talent. Who knows, maybe him doing all this new art might inspire him to do something even more amazing than Sex Arcade in the future. It still might not be something you personally enjoy, but he'll probably continue to improve his skills as the years go on.

Purposely downgrade himself? So you think he doesn't even like the new stuff he's coming out with, and he's doing it to sabotage himself? A guy can't just develop different styles and interests after drawing the same thing for nearly a decade?
Edit: Looking at his Hentai Foundry page, it looks like he started doing Sex Arcade stuff as early as August 2009. The last update on this thread was September 2019. It's literally been 10 years.

I like how you stop there and ignore the rest I said.

Artists downgrade/make compromises to push out more content to meet their deadline. It has been a common thing I've been seeing. The things he'd made a decade ago will never be able to reach the amount of content he push out per month currently.

Quantity over quality I suppose.

Their a different between developing a different styles and out right obvious shortcuts. You don't just transition from being worst. It like the dude pick up drawing again two years ago after stop drawing back in 2009.

Can't we just say he has his situations, we have ours. He changes, we change. At least me and him are now treading different paths.
No need to talk behind his back. Just ignore him, take back your (my 0$ I paid) money, forget him or even imagine he died. There are still a lot of other VERY talented artists out there that deserve more.

"No need to talk behind his back." I've been never be this person who talks behind people like a bitches. I literally say the facts at his twitter page and getting blocked in return. Dude clearly can't take criticism and feedbacks. He is some outraged brazilian dude with talent. That's it.

I just know their was a thread for this game and I haven't been following this artist for that long. I saw ThreeLeggedMan post showing the before and after of what this artist put out. Which is night and day just by looking at it. So I came with the conclusion that no one transition that poorly. Unless they are trying to rush things to meet a deadline. Because where all that quality went that was their a decade ago? that the question you need to answer yourself.

No. no I don't. He stops drawing boobs and pussies, I stop paying him attention.
I don't need to know as a degenerate where "his" quality went. I only need to know where the next is.

(I mostly think about: when does a mod come out for Cyberpunk2077, that focuses on aesthetic and makes people look good with perfect boobs, spotless skin, no wrinkles, etc. )

Well there alot of artists who I can think of within this site that can give you that then what Sabu is offering. I was mainly looking at the quality for his stuffs he use to put out compare to what he'd put out now. I rather follow some Yaoi Japenese artist then Sabu. At least they put more effort to it.

I ignored the rest because I already stated my opinion on it. I don't see how making more art is somehow a sign of things being bad. If that's his way of making money, I don't see a problem. If he wants to draw a shit ton of things with simpler elements, I don't see a problem. He could straight up only stick to line art like Legoman, and I still wouldn't see a problem. I don't know why you're bashing on the dude's choice. You literally admit in your most recent post that there's other artists out there that you like more, so what does it matter what Sabu makes? You obviously have choices, he obviously has choices, and neither of you are affecting each other's lives. You seem upset over something that doesn't personally affect you in the slightest.
Also, I literally don't understand the last two sentences in the post I'm quoting.

I'm not upset because I'm not here defending the guy from his critics. Pointing out he been push out mediocre content and selling it at a very high price. He has every BS reason to do that, I'm not gonna sit here and defend his greedy tactics. I already have enough artists who pull that nonsense to deal with.

If you don't understand the last point it very simple: Artists don't lose their attention of detail & quality that badly. Unless they are purposely doing it. Their was like a artist who have a injury and was unable to draw for a whole year. Then he'd recovered and was able to draw the same quality stuff like he'd use to a year ago.

Clearly the people paying for the art think it's worth what he's charging. The simple fact that he's able to 'get away with it' only proves that he still makes good art and that a good amount of people enjoy his new content. Calling him greedy is a moot point because he's not ripping people off if he's giving people exactly what they choose to pay for. I could argue about how artists are generally underpaid for the work they put in, but I won't, because that's irrelevant. Would you personally choose to work harder if you can get away with less? No, right? Would you stay after work to do extra work for free? Not if you don't have to, to keep your job, right?
Where is your sense of discontent coming from? Why does it matter what other artists are doing?

As an amateur artist, I can say, one never downgrade / sabotage oneself, unless you just want to cash a quick buck and called it a day, being an artist is a never ending evolving process, whereas the artist always wants to breakthrough, to become better, to step further ahead on the artistic path

Honestly, haven't follow this artist at all, but regarding the old stuff and the new one, is hard to say that there's some sort of advance, the styles varies, yes, however you have to put yourself on the shoes of the artist and understand their point of view in order to say if the artist is doing it for money or for artistic passion

As for me, IMHO, the artist is on a runt, and is just going with the flow, doing some sutff just to earn some cash, but as an artist, he's stuck

Your opening sentence sounds like you're stroking your own ego.
When your art is your income, you must be adequately compensated for the work you put in. Any extra work you put in should be paid for. If he does too much work for too little, he's not going to have a lot of personal time for himself or savings to rely on when life happens. If he sets his prices too high, the amount of working coming in might drop to a less sustainable number. At the end of the day, regardless of what anyone does for a living, everyone needs money. Your livelihood will always come before your passion. You're what, shaming a guy for not fitting the starving artist stereotype? Are artists somehow less deserving of basic human needs and empathy? What's his alternative supposed to be, to quit being an artist and find a job he likes less?

Defending that lame ass dude doesn't give you anything either brah. Just quit defending that mf. Be real, his goofy arts are drastically changed from good to bad. I guess people have to be a retarded fan of him to not see this.
