I've been playing the 0.3 version on Linux by overwriting the files in "SummerHeat-0.2.2-linux-crunched.tar.bz2" posted earlier in this thread with the 0.3 Windows files. Haven't had any issues.

Ah i see, an understandable and commendable approach. But in the case of Ren'Py you don't really have to test it on all (desktop) platforms to make sure it works. Their cross-platform support is pretty robust, if it runs on Windows it will run 99.9% on Linux and Mac as well since they ship everything needed bundled with the game. If however someone reports errors with the Linux build itself that you guys aren't able to fix on your end feel free to PM me and i'll take a look. You guys did an amazing job so far, it would be a shame if the Penguins and Apples out there wouldn't be able to enjoy it as well.

I really like VNs where every dialogue has its own render paired with it.
Problem is the quality of the renders in this game is really high quality and idk if its good to do that. Like you almost always have to sacrifice a little bit of quantity if you want high quality renders.
This is one of the red flags in games where they get abandoned (I wish not). But yeah, the production is really in question. As a result of trying to do a lot of renders for scenes with high quality, as we've seen, we lost/sacrificed playing-time and overall shorter content for this update.
Again, don't get me wrong. I like when in 1 scene, for example the photoshoot with Bree, in that 1 scene, there were a lot of renders jampacked in that 1 scene. Even in the first scene of the update, where Bree and Sophie helps the MC up when he got pushed by Miller to the ground, it took a lot of renders just to help him up. I like that.
All I'm saying is, you have to sacrifice something, and I sure won't want it to be the shorter play-time/content per update.

I agree, but I think a balance can be done. If the dev can continue doing a release about every two months and can find a good pace to move the story and relationships along, it could manage to work. Either this or sacrifice the update cycle for longer wait times between updates so each update has more story content.

Seriously, nothing I have seen has said there will be NTR, and nothing I have seen feels like Miller is going to go after the girls, UNLESS you mean Miller is going to kill us while we are fucking, then fuck yeah feels like a Jason fucker to me.

this was really fun to play. i didn't even care if there were sex scenes or not. the characters interactions are very fun to read, very hopeful for this one.

You can unlock the last three pictures of Bree by visiting her and Sophie's bedroom earlier and staying by the pool with the girls instead of checking on Mia.
We have a rough outline of the entire story that we follow. It won't change. Feedback helps us improve but it won't change our vision. The horror won't be graphic.

Agree! I'm glad this game is not sex driven and focused on building character relationships first. The interactions between each character have been really good. The scenes of the little town also looks freaking sweet.this was really fun to play. i didn't even care if there were sex scenes or not. the characters interactions are very fun to read, very hopeful for this one.

Hmm, can be good and bad, take Hillside, I do like the game, but fuck 11 updates and 0 fucks given, hell as of the last update one of the four main LI likes you, one who was raped just admitted to liking you, one hates your guts, and one has been in love with another dude.
So it is good building up relationships, but taking too long is just as bad as mindless fuckfests.
Also, let's look at this, and just how with nothing needing to be said, so much is being said, way more in this single screenshot than most games I have played in the whole fucking game.
