I think what brings this down for me is the level cap. If there was a way to remove that, I think it would be better and hard mode would be more manageable

Read through the thread, short of it is you need to modify values in an .ini file and add a rule to your windows firewall to prevent it from connecting to the internet. The thread itself has the information
