From a cozy point and click adventure that you could play with one hand (despite the annoying grind) to an actual open world survival crafting that you have to go on foot using wasd to every place in a gigantic island?
I don't think it is a good trade bro.

A good, lightweight renpy game that literally didn't need a translation because it was entirely worded in emojis to:
"Let's make an indie game in Unreal, you know, where all indie games go to die? This is gonna be great."

The game looks good, but I can't take tentacles. It's a visual thing for me.
Thanks for the wallpapers. The artist is very talented.
Much success.

Sigh...
At the beginning I had my problems with this emoji stuff. But the art was great. At the end I liked both the art and the emojis. I was hoping for couple of dozens of more chapters.

But now Unreal? Really? Or unreally?
I don't know if I should even try it.
My experience is: Unreal games are usually at least 50 times bigger than comparable renpy games. Even demos usually start at 5GB.
The windows versions hardly ever run in Wine/Proton at all. Even if they do they suck big time.
Even if there are Linux versions provided, the "experience" is usually even worse than trying to run the windows version in Wine.

In comparison Unity games are usually much smaller and they run usually pretty well, both as native Linux versions and via Wine/Proton.
Even Illusion games run pretty well in Wine. (Okay, except for AI Shoujo, which was probably designed for a 128GB GPU)

Do you guys realise that renpy cannot handle actual 3D graphics?

Think before speaking next time, or at the very least learn how to differentiate 3D games from 3DCG...
Do you realize we’re not idiots?

Do you realize that people prefer renpy to be able to play on mobile?

Do you realize that we can prefer the style of the first Tame it?

my God descends from your horse ...

I mean, it sure sounds like it.

Comparing a 2Dcg game with a 3D one that would not run on renpy in the first place, there is no dumbest comparison you could make.

If you don't like unreal or 3d games you are in the wrong thread.
Yeah, of course you are right and I am a complete moron.

Comparing a game which looks great and runs perfectly fine to game which looks shitty and does not even start is really asinine.

Hi there!
We've uploaded the latest version of Tame It Too! prototype to the public!
Yes, the prototype is very different from the previous game, it's built on UE5, here is full 3D, open world and textual dialogues and it needs pretty powerful computer to fully enjoy it.
We will continue to optimize the prototype, but we won't be able to make it as light as the pre-rendered Ren'py game anyway.
(By the way, the first Tame It! was also 3D, just the pictures were prerendered. We didn't even think anyone would mistake it for drawn 2D digital art!)
We are trying to evolve and strive for the best and we hope that you will support us in this!

But we have a new 2D game on Unity with visual novel elements coming out soon and maybe you'll like it better. Stay tuned so you don't miss anything!

Oh boy! I can't wait to spend hours farming an awful fishing minigame to get multiple instances of an item with a drop chance in the low single digits to craft an item required to unlock one sex scene, but now in 3D!
Yeah, the good thing about the old game was that all the annoying parts could easily be overcome by shift+O and a few keystrokes.
Without "shift+O" I would never ever given it it second chance. The pure game would have been way to grindy and imba.

Keeping the bad parts, removing the good parts, adding the trouble to get it running at all. No, sorry, try harder...

I didn't expect to be criticised for taking away the points for which we have been criticised before. As we said in the game itself and in our announcement texts, your support will determine whether we continue with this game or focus on other projects, so it's up to you. In any case my heartfelt thanks to everyone for supporting the game and for the opportunity to do more than what Ren'py has allowed us to do.
