Hi there!
We've uploaded the latest version of Tame It Too! prototype to the public!
Yes, the prototype is very different from the previous game, it's built on UE5, here is full 3D, open world and textual dialogues and it needs pretty powerful computer to fully enjoy it.
We will continue to optimize the prototype, but we won't be able to make it as light as the pre-rendered Ren'py game anyway.
(By the way, the first Tame It! was also 3D, just the pictures were prerendered. We didn't even think anyone would mistake it for drawn 2D digital art!)
We are trying to evolve and strive for the best and we hope that you will support us in this!
But we have a new 2D game on Unity with visual novel elements coming out soon and maybe you'll like it better. Stay tuned so you don't miss anything!
With your move to UE5 you literally cut off at least half of your previous player base. It's a shame you don't realise, that you didn't make a smart move with that. The renpy game was fine and a prequel as renpy game would've been loved, too. Hoped until today you would move back, but seeing you will it drop before returning back to renpy is a real shame.
I didn't expect to be criticised for taking away the points for which we have been criticised before. As we said in the game itself and in our announcement texts, your support will determine whether we continue with this game or focus on other projects, so it's up to you. In any case my heartfelt thanks to everyone for supporting the game and for the opportunity to do more than what Ren'py has allowed us to do.
You were criticised for the game being lightweigh and on a mobile platform compatible engine? I remember the grind was the bad thing, that and the emojis that a lot of people like me either enjoyed or got accustomed to, I don't mind playing the game in 3d if there's enough eye candy, but I have Lee's ass in my screen during the entire playthrough now, back I had the cat showing her pussy every chance, maybe is too early for anything but still, I don't like the place where this is going, is easier to insert a ton of sex scenes, that's true, but I don't know if the trade for accesibility is worth it.

The idea of a sequal is great, but ... oh boi.
There was a saying in germany "Schuster bleib bei deinen Leisten", meaning stay with the stuff that works.
You had some art that made you game stand out from all the generic 3d render stuff thats flooding in, you had a nice take on communication without speach (sure, that took getting used to, but it grew on me) and all you had to do for the mini games is reduce the grind.
Even the survial aspect was a nice fresh breeze in the adult game genre.
Tl;dr: Please continue with your story ideas for a Tame it too!, but do it in renpy or something similar with the art style your playerbase was hoping for.
It is a sequel prototype, not a 3D version of the first game. New characters to tame, new mechanics to play, new areas to explore. 3D made it possible for much of that
For example, we struggled with pregnancy in Tame It!, but here it's simple to be implemented, as well as breeding and other mechanics that aren't possible in Ren'py.
P.S. We've literally taken none of the good features out of the game. We just didn't do them because we weren't sure if the audience would accept the new game format. If the players like the new format, all the best features will be adopted from the old game. If they don't like it, there's no point in wasting time on it.

By this logic, Nintendo should never have made Mario 64 or any 3D Mario games because 2D Mario games were successful. Final Fantasy should never have made any 3D games because Final Fantasy 1-6 were all 2D turned based RPGs because that's what made it initially successful. That logic is simply stupid.
Going 3D isn't going to ruin a game. There are plenty of good 3D games, albeit not a whole lot of good 3D adult games. That doesn't mean it's not possible to make a good adult game on Unreal Engine. The problem with this prototype is that it's missing a lot of the fundamental gameplay features that a game should have. You can't gather materials, can't hunt or trap food, can't craft stuff, can't build a base, can't swim, can't climb stuff, can't manually save without quitting the game, no map, no quest log, etc.
Currently it just a walking simulator and probably should have had more work done on it before releasing it to the public.

Thank you for catching the fact that we want to develop the game not only story-wise, but also technically.
We've warned several times in the news and in the game announcement that this is a prototype in which we're tinkering with the engine. We'll implement features, both old and new, as soon as we get approval from the community. After all, features are a lot of time and effort, and if the game in 3D is not needed by the players, then the features won't save it.
So at this stage the game prototype should be exactly that. If the game will get some support, I assure you, there will be fishing/hunting (with its improvements and refinements) and crafting and resource gathering and all other survival features from the first game. And much more, including some interesting experiments with taming and interacting with new heroines who will have their own traits.
For example, we struggled with pregnancy in Tame It!, but here it's simple to be implemented, as well as breeding and other mechanics that aren't possible in Ren'py.
Keep doing you dev, listening to people that haven't or won't play the game is pointless in the first place.
Haters are always going to hate, if your goal was to add more gameplay mechanics especially breeding, you are obviously moving towards the right place moving away from static CGs.
I can understand that the dev wants to progress technically etc
Tame it divided but many of us attached.
With unreal this can happen too.. but the path will be long..
My biggest problem is the size of the map... running and running with so little content not for me.
Knowing that this is a prototype to reduce the size of the island and focusing on the survival system and innovations would have been better. Here we go from grind to walking simulator.
Every single 3D open world game here started as a walking simulator with an empty map.
I saw plenty of people shitting on wildlife the way you are when the first prototype was released, now he is one of the highest earning devs. There will always be naysayers.
Map creation and basic freeroam mechanics are the first step, then you start adding content to the map and slowly building it up into a game that has lots of things to do.
If you don't like 3D games move on, but complaining about something you don't understand is stupid.

Dunno what these points are.
At first first I had my trouble with the emojis. Yeah that was a bold move. My first try was almost an insta delete... But I gave the game a second chance and the emojis grew on me. Now I do not want it any other way!
The survival aspect is fine in general but totally imba. Certain aspects should get easier if you progress and do the right things. But instead they got harder and harder.
I fixed it myself by using the renpy console. But that's your fault. I HATE python. But I had more fun hacking frigging python then getting stuff the proper way.
I mean TBF one of these girls is half-cat and the other has freakin' tentacles - if this wasn't porn deliberately choosing to cater to the fetish, I'd be surprised if a normal human actually could get them pregnant.

Octa? Yes that could be difficult ... but Cat?
Horses and donkeys can breed, tigers and lions can.
And, I hope no one ever tried it and never will, BUT on a genetically only level Human and our closest relatives in the animal kingdom, chimpanzees, could theoreticaly produce fertile offspring.
Biology can be wild.
Edit: Looks like the Sovjets tried it in 1920, and luckily failed.

but is functionally unimproved: confirmed
Character graphic comparisons. Is this an improvement? Might be a matter of opinion.
How did you even have sex with them? I got all the tablets and put them in place, the game told me to find the girls and have fun. I found the girls, but can't figure out how to have fun. I've pressed every key on my keyboard.

Close the game to the main menu (it will save it) then close the game (you could probably quit to the desktop), then revisit girls again. Worked for me. Both girls now have fun scenes.
What the actual fuck am I supposed to be doing? Place is way too fucking big to just go off randomly trying to find these two monster girls in the beginning.
