VN Ren'Py Abandoned 53x – Homecoming [v0.2.8.1] [Agent 53X]

Just curious, did this update end to a blonde calling for help with her computer next day and MC asking his sister to help with the computer issue (tomorrow)?

Edit: Just asking because there is not day counter that would say it was day 10.

Linux version (x86_64) works like a charm.


I was in the middle of pointing out that the label summer_chores isn't defined in chores.rpy only to get ninja'd by the fix. Nicely done!


The unfixed version had two jumps at the end of day 10

And the compiled version of days 11 and 12 are still packaged into archive.rpa:

The two jumps at the end of day 10 are the 'jump gotoend' which takes you to the ending, and 'jump day11' which is going to take you to day 11 when it is released. I have removed the 'jump day11' in the fix but it should not have caused an issue.

The rpyc files are my fault for not cleaning out all the items for the release of day 10, but they have not cause an issue when testing the first v004. Are they causing an issue for you? I just was not aware of how many people rip open the archive.rpa to check out whats under the hood. LOL

Yes that is the end of v004. I did not use identifiers like Mon, Tues... I only keep track inside the code with naming the files day01.rpy, day02...

Did it go to the 'You have reached the end...' after that? Is so it is working.

v004 stops at day 10. That is where the new version ends.

It stops on day 12 in the script, but here are not choices on 11 and 12 if I remember from 2 hours ago.

Yes, it's working fine. A kind of expected more than a day with choices what chores to do. For some reason I couldn't skip them because they looked like the same as in 003. Maybe I couldn't skip those as old ones because Linux libs were included this time. Thank you including Linux libs. We are PC race too.

Like I put in my WT post, he changed some variables so, if you didn't start a new save try that, it not, then IDk, report it to the dev on his Patreon, since he doesn't seem to have a presence here.

He calls himself Agent 53x on his Patreon so, I would not have known that as I haven't read much of the thread TBH. I just liked the game and did a walkthrough.

No, you are doing great, I just didn't know you were the developer, because you didn't post the OP, and your Patreon is Agent 53x, so I thought you would be Agent 53x, but now that I know you are DelveArt3d I can see you are very active now that I've read through the last few pages of the thread. Really like your game keep up the good work.

I don't expect the files to cause any issue, but I've yet to play the update. Most often than not I spend my time discussing rather than playing a game.

I generally only unpack rpas (and possibly also decompile rpycs) if I'm looking for a specific render, feel the need to proof read parts of the dialogue or encounter a bug. I also mostly avoid running the games in developer mode despite my inherent curiosity of the stat changes on certain choices.
