Hello all!
You might remember me if you're one of the few who's been here since I (poorly and haphazardly) tried to begin a mod sharing club for HS1 mods. The truth is, as soon as we got into the Discord channel and I saw that there wasn't much intention of people actually participating in the community and instead just wanting to wait for free mods; I was disheartened. Especially because *I* was going into it with the idea of being okay with spending a little money here and there to contribute, even to mods I personally didn't want. However, that lesson about the community fostered a feeling of disenchantment, and that feeling, as well as meeting/falling in love with a new partner, made me want to step away from the community and the game altogether for a while and re-evaluate if I even wanted this game to be a part of my life.
After months, I ended up actually showing the game to my partner, who was/is incredibly supportive and doesn't see any harm in the game... because after all, it's actually ethically
much more sound than how most people interact with pornography; supporting piracy on tube sites which means actresses don't get paid nearly as much as the revenue they generate, or worse, supporting exploitative porn companies who's histories of abuse are well-documented and well-known.
So i wanted to share two things.
First, my thoughts on how i'll be interacting with this game/community going forward:
ModClub will not be returning. To be honest, I don't think anyone in this community is quite ready to trust a random guy on the internet with their money, so the idea itself doesn't really have legs in the first place. I will no longer, as of the end of this post, be purchasing mods for the game and sharing them. However, I will continue to play the game and make cards and share them in the card sharing thread, and on the Discord channel.
Secondly, I want to apologize for those who got excited about the possibility of a centralized hub for this type of content sharing. I was also excited, but learned very quickly that execution of that idea would be much more involved/difficult than I initially thought to pull off, as well as being impractical for the reason I mentioned above.
After spending time away from the game, and coming back to it now, I realize going any deeper into the aspects of community for this game is probably detrimental to my mental health, but I still love the game.
So basically... what i'm saying is i'll be around, but mostly lurking.
Lastly, some good news, as a way to apologize, but also thank you to the people who believed in the idea and tried their best to support me in the endeavor:
I ended up snagging a bunch of Yangala's hair mods for HS1 when I first got back into the game, and I've decided to share them here so we all can have some high quality hair mods to play with. Pictured are the hairs that aren't/weren't currently available to the public, but the zip file contains *all* of the YY/Yangala hair mods i've been able to accrue, including the ones pictured.

Enjoy them, and feel free to give me a holler and say hi or show me your characters you make with them! See ya around!
