The thing he was "pulling the ripcord" on was the decision to push his intended December 0.3 release back into January in order to rework some parts he isn't satisfied with.

Nope! Game is alive! Just going slower than I want it to. I have some new people helping with art but there are things I wanted to include in 0.3 to make it feel fuller.
Lol at "He", but this is correct. It was either release a shit update or wait till I am happy with it.
True facts. Non-coders ARE notoriously bad with estimating how long something will take. THOUGH the coding isn't what's holding up this update, the art is. Doesn't change the fact that I underestimated the amount of time I needed.
I understand the disappointment. I didn't make this decision lightly. But trust me if I released it now it would be even more disappointing than what you feel right now. something something rushed game will forever be bad something something.RIP. was expecting for a Xmas release
Thank you so much! I'm so happy you enjoyed it! The full game has no planned release date. I'm working on this game in the limited free time I have. So when it's done it'll be done. I hope you do continue to follow along as I update it.

I used to support this. Not anymore. Please take no offence. I think I was looking for an animation style that was closer to the original art style rather than the over-exagerated cartoon style that you have taken. But, good luck on your game, by reading the comments many people here love it and so in that regard, I do wish you the best.
Same! I've started prepping some of the scenes already for animation. They won't be in the next update But I'm hoping to get one in soon.
I want to first thank you for giving the game a chance. I really do appreciate everyone that plays the game and takes the time to tell me what they think. Secondly, your preference for wanting an art direction that is closer to the originals is valid. That's a fair desire when it comes to something that is so dear and close to so many people. I hope that maybe in the future some other aspect of the game will bring you back but I understand your desire and respect it! Last post about gamedev on Phazyn's Patreon was on the 26th of January this year, with a title of "

". Now, the post is patron only, but given that the dev hasn't posted a devlog since then, only art posts, I'd say that this game has a good chance of being put on hold/abandoned. Which is a real fucking shame...
Game is not dead. It's still very much in production and a lot has been completed since the last dev post. I'm just finishing the game completely before I release to the public. The episodic nature of the game was causing undue stress and I've just decided to release the game as a finished product rather than in pieces.
Thanks all for the interest. It's flattering to see all the support.

Best of luck with development and do keep us posted on your progress from time to time. Since we probably won't be seeing anything from the game for quite a long while, even a sentence once in a while is enough.

All i'm seeing is the guy is trying his hardest to get it done and out and we just gotta wait... i mean we all want a good tifa corruption game (lord knows we need one) xD but these things take time.
