Many of these NTR games eventually get abandoned, such as Watching My Wife, Project Hotwife, Wife in Venice, Wife at all Costs, etc., and now Couples Duet. The excitement of such games comes with the buildup to cheating or being shared, as well as the married couple's adaptation to the new lifestyle. After that point is reached, it becomes one sexual scenario after another until total sluthood is achieved and the...... developer is burnt out or runs out of ideas.

Project hotwife was hot because of Mary, it kept milking it before being abandoned. But you're semi right, lots of these games end early even before actual hotwifing happens. It's a shame really
I've just received an email. Dude had the time for a marketing stunt. He's offering a 50% discount on the first month of subscribal for this abandoned game. It's hard to pass but I'm gonna do it anyway.

then you have the milking devs like “my wife’s a star” who hasn’t put out an update in over 18 months but cause he was putting monthly wallpapers on Patreon they didn’t put the abandon tag on it, it’s on now so I guess his cows finally dried up and unsubscribed

Most AI devs are just doing a cash grab except maybe a couple. They build up these text stories until they get to actual sex, find out that generating sex scenes are hard to do. Then they decide to redo the story with some newer model or just abandon and start their next AI slop story. There's a couple devs who are making quality AI games, and they are able to keep them going because they have the patience to generate quality images or fix the images with other tools.Well, I think we all knew this was coming. But tbh the time they put into doing all the re generations, if they just used DAZ or other 3d engine, they could probably do it much faster once they learn the ropes.
This story failed because the dev added too many unnecessary paths instead of focusing on finishing the Darell and Nat path, which i think the majority of their community wanted.
Good lesson for all devs out there, 2 paths are better and easier to focus on than 5-6 useless time consuming paths.

Saying the story failed because it had too many paths is your opinion but there is absolutely no way of knowing what's going on with the dev because he's been radio silent.
A game having too many paths is also just down to personal taste too as there are plenty of games on here with multiple paths that seem to be more popular than other games with only 2.
