The problem is no one can settle on an ending, that's the real thing that sucks about these games.
There's rarely an ending, and I think people just get bored with them.
The best ones,
TACOS, A couple's Duet, and Nyetorase: Shared Passions kinda all start to show a pattern of when the Dev is beginning to get bored.
That's when they add in a side project, or take the couple on vacation.
IMO, it's usually the same thing.
But again, these are indie smut games, and like any breakup, usually are succeeded.
Digital Pornstars are easier to replace.
Also, the game is in renpy, fans could always write their own chapters after a significant period of abandonment.

Sure maybe something did and yeah maybe for some reason they simply couldnt inform their fans/subscribers and supporters that they dead, tragedy happened, PC blew up, lost all account info...etc...so many reasons and some are completely legit, but you know, that little voice in my head, my cynical side, often makes me wonder, which is it, what actually did happened?, did anything happen?, or is it just too inconvenient to inform paying/supporting people that you simply are not going to keep developing the game, you got bored, lazy or whatever reason...yet simply couldn't log on and OWN IT...nope...why give up free cash
Pity that so often today there is just a lack of respect for each other, lack of consideration, decency, which some would call common, but I find that this has become our norm.

IMHO , he should try to finish it. And use his acquired knowledge to make a new, much more "focused" shorter game.

I doubt that he will return to the game. Even if he is well, the last we heard of him, he was responding to criticism that he was using too much narration and too little visual storytelling. If he were to respond to that criticism, he would necessarily need to start with a whole new game. If he returns, it wouldn't surprise me a bit if it were with an entirely new game, albeit with similar themes. As always, it was the loudest and overly critical that ruined things for everybody who was enjoying this story.

I understand why people want to interpret the situation as to why this game appears abandoned, but I've often seen erroneous conclusions in comments that are intended to decipher the real situation.

I tend to believe that something may have happened to the dev. I was subbed to him on patreon and I've been following it since I paused my sub and he's been radio silent since the last release (Carl path). I mean it's possible he just quit without telling anyone sure, but he seemed to communicate w/ his patrons fairly decently leading up to the accident he had when he went MIA the first time. It's a great game, and I liked the art style. So much so that I've been considering doing something using that same sort of art style myself.

Yes there is a love path,but it seems the dev neglect this one or prioritize the cuck and cheating one.
