So, I don't understand the whole ingredients cooking thing? The fridge is full, but Angeline doesn't cook because there are no ingredients? And yes, I downloaded the 0.3a like 20 minutes ago.
Based on the changelog this 'game' seems like a lot of work to play. The art and the description make me want to play but the sandbox seems like it is a nightmare. More mini-game and search/grind for content then actually enjoying a sexy story.

Still getting the no ingredients issue and I have also noticed that the sausages are counted as butter in the ingredients list in the Fridge. So there is no sausages in the Fridge that maybe the issue with the no ingredients.
I can appreciate the work you've put into the game so far, the story is a decent premise and the characters and renders are nice, so and I'm tentatively hoping this game grows legs and makes it to completion, good luck!
I do however feel like it could benefit from being looked at through the lens of someone who hasn't spent the last 6 (or more) months staring at the games code, here's my gameplay experience, spoilered so as not to clog the forum with a massive wall of text:
I have since given the game a second pass (still v0.3, I haven't downloaded the hotfix) to see what I might have missed, most notably the short stretch of dialogue with Eve where she tells you, clearly and explicitly, what food to buy and how much of it. In an optional scene. That is only available for 2 short hours following the mandatory "you need an income, here's a laptop, go do some work" scene. There was also the continuity error in the scene with Emily and Riley at the breakfast table (9am), where all three of us are clearly depicted with plates full of food, talk about mixed messages, either the fridge is empty or it isn't.
Needless to say I have some feedback and suggestions to make, though I'm sure some of it is likely already on your radar for when you're past the "getting the core systems hammered out" phase of development, spoilered again to prevent a wall of text.
On an unrelated sidenote, found a bug:

nah this isn't worth the trouble, game attracts you for its renders and idea of a futa protagonist but the playing turns out to be just a giant pain in the ass. Jessus why so many mechanics and soo poorly eplained? You get consecutive intant end games and isn't even told what exactly you should have done, all it takes is one night and everyones moods drops to rock bottom and game ends. The ingredients needed are only said at a very brief dialogue and then you don't see any mention anywhere. I mean the caracter herself suggest a shopping list in her dialogue options yet you are basically buying everything blind. Although there is no problem with a game being sand box its still a porn game, the porn part outweights the sandbox part. If all you are having to do it break your head and try to figure out the poorly explained mechanics how will one get nay enjoyment from this? geez just gonna book mark this and wait till someone makes a walkthough.

That was a mod I made half a year ago for a game that just got updated today, which I didn't even know about until you mentioned it just now. So yes, it won't work with the latest version unless I decide to update it.
This game is giving me a headache, I like the idea of it but apparently, I have to grind for food but don't know which food, look for pictures but nowhere to look for pictures and keep everyone cool but no air conditioning. Maybe in a few later releases I can try again and figure it out then. Hopefully it works out or someone can come up with a walkthrough mod.

I do love the art and the idea. but this no cooking bug is getting to me for sure. got v0.3a and I tried both the OP link and the one on subscribestar and they both fail even when I clear out the install folder first. seems the bug is still there.
Guess it needs another patch as it lowers the mood of all the characters no matter what it seems. Unless something is totally not explained here. It states "Mom" fails to cook cause of the lack of ingredients, i expect the only requirement would be that the fridge is full before that timeslot. and the only mentions of food is the milk, tomatoes and pasta by the looks of it. ehhhh
good art, ruined by the gameplay the dev is doing and adding un-needed complexity to it all.

One suggestion I'd make for the game would be to show the others in the house just hanging around. The story sets up they aren't really going anywhere, so they should be somewhere. It'd help the narrative of them being stuck in the middle of nowhere and make the place not look so empty.

everyone that is getting the missing ingredient bug, did you try this?
basically delete all saves (in game>save folder and AppData>Roaming>Renpy>AHouseInTheDesert folder) and start a new game. if you open the game and check your saves and there is still some then you didn't delete all
