So... you chose to reveal that you know shit all about anything and then decided to be maximally uncooperative and now you wonder why the being that is vastly more experienced and more powerful than you doesn't want to put up with your shit? Yeah, I guess Rae is just a total bitch...
So if someone suffocated you when you didn't want to agree with them, then tried to do a brain fuck on you in the morning, you'd be super cooperative?

Very mature

Like venting and ranting on us...when you can always ask the dev(IF what are you saying is true)?

You must be an icon of intelligence among your group of friends.
Wasn't meant as a rant exactly. And I went to the discord to mention this as well. People there understood what I was referring to. Anyway.

Actually yes.

and the dev? i mean why complaining? why whining here, you just said you went on discord and talked about it...what the point doing the same pointless thing, here? Seriously, what's your end-game?

i mean so far you're talking about something optional that depends on how you approach things...which i'll be brutally honest with you, the only way for me to care even less, would be if i die right here and now.

I posted my comments here before doing so in the discord. And the dev did confirm that they would EVENTUALLY rewrite the beginning of the game.

Also, suicide is quite dramatic all things considered.

Still didn't explain why complaing then, you could cut right at the point where the dev told you this thing, and the convo would be done even sooner.

i guess you didn't understand what i mean(or maybe the saying i used, is not that common), whatever. Conversation's over.

Not rude at all. Sorry if I came off rude myself.
Well.......... My first thought when I saw your initial post was "Oh God what did she do this time?" lol
I didn't realize you were talking about the start of the game.

It's funny, you're thoughts mirror my own about Lyriel.

also

Who says chivalry is dead? lol
Look at everyone coming to the rescue of a video game character, lol

Rae is my fav just cuz she's spunky and more fun throughout the story, but of course that's because
she's the main female character and we're supposed to think that.

I think Naomi is really funny and a real shocker to everyone.
Kind of reminds me of that one really loud/crass aunt or uncle that the kids think is funny but the adults are afraid of what's going to come out of their mouths next!... Written really well.

I've gotten used to playing House in the Rift and it may sound corny, but I'd be happy enough if it just continued.
Just one of those nice enjoyable things I get to do occasionally.

Anywho...
Cheers

Chivalry is not dead, but I would exhibit it to those that, wouldn't say deserving or worthy, but at least considerate enough for me to do so. Well, as I mentioned above, the dev IS planning a rewrite of the beginning so there's that.

With that said, what DID she do this time?
And what's the problem with the elf?
And yes, Naomi is cool.

As it's a sex game, rejecting Rae's offers of sex didn't even occur to me, so I can't comment on how that plays out. I did think that the way she would humble herself right at the start when she thought that the MC was a very powerful mage was rather overdone, though, given what a resourceful and self-confident character she has since turned out to be. I can't see her demeaning herself to quite that extent. But it's understandable that the characterisation should shift a little over time as the game develops, as the writer gets a better handle on the character.

Hey, I appear to be missing Lyriel's Deeperthroat scene in my Gallery, how would I unlock that? Thanks!
Same way you get the blowjob in the kitchen, but once you have her stats high enough you can ask her to take it deeper and she'll comply.

Thing is she's only revealed her true self to us because we've gotten closer to her than... well, anyone else ever I suspect. She's a spy who specialises in sucking up to nobles and royalty, she'll be very used to hiding what she's really like.

I gotta say though that I will regularily think (and choose, if possible) "Yes, I want to have sex with this girl, but not now, not here, not in these circumstances".

OK, Maybe bitch was the wrong way to phrase it. But let me ask you this: Is it legitimately acceptable and normal to be hyper-aggressive towards someone that has been nothing but courteous to you? I can list 5 instances that I am referring to where she just acts frankly maliciously for no good reason, right off the bat. And I know character development was mentioned, but at this point, to me, it would seem to be more the MC meekly accepting her previous bad behavior and moving along.
Rae is personally one of my favorite characters, so I replayed the beginning bit myself just a minute ago to see what they were talking about, and I can kinda see where they're coming from now. Rae gets uncharacteristically really aggressive if you don't go along with her with the first dream-walk.

so, MC refuses to etherwalk...but what other choice he has? Wait for police/fireman/ghostbusters/Man in Black, to come and save him?

While i'm willing to acknowledge your(and that guy's) point and Rae may be forceful IF you refuse to try her thing...my question remains: Why should someone refuse her? She is the only one with a plan, while MC has no idea of what's happening and has no idea how to solve the situation...there shouldn't be a choice to refuse Rae to begin with, in my opinion.

Consider for a moment what kind of world the MC comes from, one that is seemingly very much like ours.

The MC finds himself trapped in a magical facsimile of his childhood home. Its floating in the sky. The fridge changes every time you open and close the door. The rooms are locked save for the ones the MC needs there and then.

With that in mind, then consider that the MC finds some....thing in his attic. She calls herself a succubus, a demon! Forget the idea that she's cute! Forget that she's as confused as he is. The MC comes from a world where in myth and tales, a succubus could devour the soul of a man through mating. And he's trapped in the house with her! Is she the spider and he's a fly caught in the web?

Because regardless of the joke that even when dying, a man is going to be thinking about sex, when the body thinks its in danger, the brain is clearing everything off the board and going "shitshitshitshitshitshitshitshitwhatdoIdo?whatdoIdo?shitshitshitshitshitshit!"

Now, consider the idea that, okay, this succubus seems friendly enough, she hasn't tried to rip his soul out...yet. But one day this "Rae" comes up and suggests they "etherwalk". Dude has no idea what that is, for all he knows, it could be "Hey MC, go down into the dark basement while I walk behind you with this hammer for protection." And then whack, he's in a bloody pile at the bottom of the basement stairs that he didn't even knew the house had!

On a more serious note, at the point where Rae suggests Etherwalking, the MC has had so much thrown at him, his head is probably reeling. And it is a lot to take in, I'm not the slightest bit surprised that he could be somewhat cautious at that.

In fact, I would be very, very worried if there was no option to refuse Rae.

In fact that's not how the story plays out. All the critics of the beginning of the game leave out the facts. The MC and Rae are trapped in the house. Rae figures out that the power keeping them there is coming from the MC, even thought he doesn't know how to control it. Rae doesn't just walk up one day and say they're going etherwalking, she explains to MC that it's something he has to learn if they are ever going to get out of the house.
