This is my first time trying this VN. Although there are a few of the typical typos, it is one of the better written VNs I've tried. I'm surprised it seems so far to be rated R or PG13, but it promises to get a bit hotter as the plot develops. If the next couple of updates are as good as what I have seen thus far, I'm likely to support the dev on Patreon.

Did anyone have that "Oh this is where things start to go wrong" moment in the update?

Not really, I played Triangle, chances of anything going majorly wrong are very slim.

Way I see it, MC will spend more time with his squire, his wife will spend more time with Lydia and eventually they will need a 4 person bed.

Dev isn't exactly known for drama. More of a wholesome romance thing with multiple partners.

Could be wrong, he may try something new but I think the outcome will remain, 4 in the bed and the little one said "shower me in cum".

I loved the previous VN Triangle and I'm pretty sure this will turn out to be a similar experience. My only issue is that there were no consequences for MCs actions, where everything just works and it seems like this will go down that path as well.

I really like this game, the renders are pretty good and I love midieval times games/stories but (and I'm being really kind of petty here) does anyone else find the conversations way too modern and soft for the time period?

I hadn't noticed that Neverlucky had created Triangle when I posted my brief review of this VN. As soon as I realized it I pledged my support on Patreon. Triangle was great, so I am sure A Knight's Tale will continue to be as good as it's beginning promises. Was Neverlucky always the name this dev used? I didn't remember that name from Triangle.

After playing it, I was just thinking "winter is coming"...
Old king die mysteriously, young king seems like a scheming bastard...
Game of Thrones, here we go :KEK:

Maybe if Game of thrones ever did an extremely light edition when it's all about romance and no violence :p

Alice must be the most well looked after squire even getting a massage from the MC ;) I don't mind the slow burn this had at least we got something from Catherine and the girls also got an eyeful that's certainly going to lead to more.

The same style like Triangle, but in fantasy setting? If that was true, it will be really good. Despite all the good things in game (I like both Triangle and new one), I see no more fantasy than in EA games (and these faggots made Bioware from legendary gamemaker to a shitty one). Nightie with panties - seriously? Fuck with that, panties at all in fantasy setting? That element of clothing appeared only during industrial revolution on Earth and there's no reason to think that it can appear before that stage of societal development. Before writing something fantasy its good to read some fantasy books, not Game of Thrones fanfiction but real books from good writers like Robert Howard or Andrzej Sapkowski. There's good fantasy books with realistic descriptions not only political or historical features, but mundanes ones too (including clothing), as an example, books by Chris Bunch (his books from Seer king series). Actually these books have porn scenes in them (I suppose Bunch liked realistic descriptions in every aspect), so that can be recommended to all users of this forum :). In general, what I want to say - fantasy is not like modern world with swords instead of guns and horses instead of cars, it's medieval times that are really not like today's world. And just an insult to injury: knight, seasoned fighter, total man and all that... riding to his senior on a mare. There's warhorses for knights and they're usually not mares but studs (due a whole lot of reasons, aggression is one of them). Mares is a horse for the lady or for the cart.

Lovely beginning. Leading females were all lovely (I was going to say all, but then I remembered cook..). Lydia especially was so cute that I could eat her up (pun intended). But everyone has at least some feature that was better than what others had.

Story was just what I expected from the writer of Triangle. Charming and lovely. Though, this being in the more harsher times, I suspect that King might arrange them drama in some sort of warfare. If trio of girls aint enough for harem, our hero might save some ladies from danger or bring exotic slaves from the war.

I was also pondering about horse. This one seemed too kind for a knight's warhorse. And also Alice using her own sword for practise, as it's hard to avoid some nicks to blade in a long run. oh, and Alice's so called armour... Not very protective. That leather neck-thingie made me wonder if there's vampires in that world. It might offer some meager protection against biting :D
But that's about all little things I could even think about complaining about, in a story that I believe to become quite perfect experience.

Why would a knight ride his warhorse for a simple trip to the King's castle (not going to war?) Warhorses were almost never used as simple riding horses, they were saved specifically for combat.

lionarslan - have you ever read any of Terry Brooks' Shanarra works? Terry and Leah built a fantasy realm that used medieval technology but the world had previously been much more technologically advanced. Perhaps the speech patterns and things like underwear in this setting are the remnants of a more advanced technological time period in this realm. (Another example of this is Tom Bombadil's use of what seems to be flashlights and other technology from before the First Age of Middle Earth in Tolkien's Lord of the Rings.)

It's just a fictional story in an erotic game. Don't worry about it. Enjoy the naughty stuff. This type of stories and games doesn't usually make sense. This type of stories and games usually isn't historically accurate. For this type of stories and games, historical accuracy isn't important, naughty stuff is important. There is no point in looking for logic in erotic games, it's almost impossible to find any.
