As I said before, the lack of patience once again!!
Have you ever stopped to think that the developer's idea is something exactly like this: to show how MC thinks since he was young and at some point in the plot realize that his rule is stupid?
It's a fact that he still loves Monica, because if his stupid rule were really taken literally, he wouldn't accept Monica because she had, or in this case still has, another man?
And who's to say that when he realizes how stupid this rule is, he won't realize that he's fallen in love with Azumy?
Tell me you're not the kind of person who starts watching an action movie and if there aren't any gunshots or explosions in 20 minutes, turns off the TV because the movie says it's action and there weren't any gunshots at the beginning?
I believe we should give everything the benefit of the doubt, and as I said in the initial text, if it's not what you expect, fine, don't play it, find another one. But that was my mistake. It's not just a lack of patience that's the biggest problem in the world today. There's another: people seem to need to criticize everything. And they can, but give constructive criticism and move on.
Well, the MC has had plenty of time to think about his "golden rule." And he didn't.
Regarding Azumi and the possibility of love, the MC is acting like a jerk, and no amount of patience is going to change that. Nor will any amount of patience change the fact that the MC's proposal (that makes the MC look incredibly bad, to the point that you wonder why, out of all the people in the world, this jerk had to be the protagonist) is to give her money, housing, and other things in exchange for sex, which is basically prostitution. That makes the route unappealing to me, and the fact that love might develop later won't make it any better. That route is trash, regardless of what the developer has planned for Azumi's future, and I don't need to wait to know that. Nor will any twist is going to change the fact that the MC is a jerk.
And if we talk about Monica, we have: 1) she and the MC were in a romantic relationship years ago, 2) she ran away when she was pregnant with the MC's child (without him knowing), 3) after their reunion, it seems they both still love each other (she definitely does, I'm not so sure about the MC), 4) she married a guy so he could support her and the child (all very romantic), 5) she lies to the MC several times about being married, having a child, etc., 6) the MC seems to not care at all, 7) despite this, his "golden rule" prevents him from wanting a romantic relationship with her, 8) she knows this and decides to maintain her non-romantic but marital relationship with her husband, 9) after the husband finds out Monica is cheating, they decide to have an open relationship, but she can only have sex with the MC if the husband has a girl to fuck, 10) the MC agrees to find that girl, 11) the MC and Monica seem very comfortable with this casual relationship. In my opinion, the MC just wants to have sex with Monica, and a romantic relationship is the last thing on his mind. But I don't particularly like Monica. The fact that she left the MC to marry someone else is enough to make me have very little interest in her, and the fact that she never told the MC they had a child together only diminishes my interest further. Personally, I don't need any scenes involving her and the MC having sex, and except for the pointless storyline about having to find a girl for her husband, I'm grateful that at least they aren't in a romantic relationship. In fact, I would have preferred it if the MC had simply told her to go away. And I don't need much patience, because the only change I want is for her to leave, and I suspect that's not going to happen. That doesn't change the fact that it's absolutely stupid that, theoretically, they're in love with each other, yet the MC hasn't even considered throwing his golden rule out the window. Either the MC isn't in love with Monica at all (and his actions reflect that), or he's simply an idiot.
Then there's the party, which serves to introduce us to the boyfriends of two girls (no LIs until proven otherwise) and the potential future boyfriend of what I assume is the only LI in the game. Aside from justifying Azumi's awful and disastrous storyline, I don't see what else we gain from it, except being bored.
