omg I just saw the javascript ... I'm not here to criticize I wanted to play the game, because it's female domination, but if you need advice I can help I guess, first thing would be to create JS and CSS files, instead of putting it in the html, then maybe consider using php or something else to store data, because I have no idea how you can use it when it's so complexe when it doesn't need to be so complexe.... (you could find a way to do it better (or maybe you made a webpage/software to generate this ? if yes like ok why not ... otherwise you're loosing a lot of time doing this)

Use body{user-select: none;} so we cannot select anything maybe instead of none use text (?) I think you have a lot of courage because I wouldn't make a game even with the skills... So I hope i'm helpful, I don't want to discourage you, because I think you're doing great

I won't comment about the rest since I didn't play the last 2 updates by lack of time but why do you think learning to fight from books is strange? When I was young, I could learn kata when I was practicing karate from manuals. The same with swimming : the different swims were schematized on paper.
The only problem would be if there won't be a way later in the game to have a real experience before having to use it, unless he is supposed to be a genius, though it may be enough for defending himself from bullies.

Also, can somebody explain what Dark Souls is?

Dark Souls is a generally agreed upon exceptionally difficult hack'n'slash game where bosses are extra hard and you have to have reflexes of a mongoose and a keyboard made of titanium for the tantrum you're gonna have because you just died AGAIN from a boss you've fought 200 times.

There are some people who are extremely good at the game, but it is generally considered a very difficult twitch reactions based game.

How do you raise corruption (it won't let me continue the Jobfather quest until that's at 15) and how do I get more money without the jobs (I've gained 40 from Jobfather but I can't continue that without more corruption and I can't start the other job without a mobile phone which needs 50 to buy it).

its been tested in chrome.. so it might be your in cognitio mode in chrome?

if you need help the very very basic thing to do is:

it's not good but much better than current design,
also, body{background: black; text:white;} this is the bare minimum and has to be tweaked

I am rushing a bit so will comment more later..
But regarding the background colour.. there is a themes button that changes the background and panel colours (as requested)

i can load my save on ver 0.3 but not on 0.35

Reading about a physical subject is dramatically different from actual practice and experience with it, it's also not where one assumes you'd go for learning a stat like that when there's already a precedent from the other stats in the game.

I understand what you're trying to say but you seem to have misinterpreted what I wrote. I said reading wasn't enough for a real fight without actual practice but could help the mc have more bones against bullies (because bullies aren't that strong, they just hit on people weaker than them). Also, practice doesn't work best for everyone (some like to train in their head, some like to take inspiration from others, some are naturally gifted...) and overpracticing doesn't have good results either.
Also, in games like these, there are always different options to gain stats and a certain threshold until they stop working. So going from 0 to 10 maximum from reading doesn't seem that stupid and unreasonable. It's just a question of balance.

i was really confused about the Dad job quest, there's two places called garage, so it took me a while to realize why i wasn't finding the Dad, maybe change the name of one of them?

On firefox make sure the html file is called the same.. and possibly stored in the same place..
I cant say for edge.. but I know firefox makes the saves based on the file name and the name I call the save.. while chrome just puts it where I tell it to put it.. Im not sure why firefox does it the way they do.. but I sure they have their reasons.

Yes I know what you mean... I did try to counter that problem in the text by saying the garage in the backgarden or something like that..

I am looking to add more ways to raise stats in the future.. and the maybe a dojo or boxing gym introduced in the future that would expand the players options for training and gaining fighting skill via hands on...

Challenging and obtuse aren't the same thing.

Especially since the justification for the lack of any real guidance is that you're supposed to be able to intuit things by using real life logic, which might work if the game's own logic wasn't incredibly arbitrary and you need to do hyper specific things with no indication or reasoning behind it (library is where you go to raise mental stats except for when you don't, also you learn to fight there because why not).

The difficulty design here isn't Dark Souls, it's is figuring out what your partner wants to eat for dinner.

I have been thinking about this most of the day.. I am familar with but have not played the dark souls games..
If I was going to compare my game to any, I would choose Monkey Island. Depending on your knowledge of very old games, this might be before your time..
Let me start by saying my game is still well in the early phases of being built , and comparing it to any finished released game is unfair.... But that said I do have an aim.. I want the game to be puzzling, to be stat driven and require the player to need to raise stats by interacting with people and objects.. I do want those interactions to be interesting (and at the moment this i will 100% say is not happening enough)..
The game is not intended to be a visual novel.(there are some excellent examples of these on this site).. however I have had a think about trying to appease the players who want the game to be a go here, click this, do this, here is a pic of some tits.. And I think I have a solution.... without losing the core aims of the game. (I will post a new post shortly to explain this).
Something this game is also not going to be is a "hi sis how are you doing?" "hi bro, im feeling naughty want to fck"...
if people here want that, again there are plenty of games (and good ones) that deliver that.

I am defo not aiming to be obtuse..

Thank you for the information.. I wouldnt have thought MacOS chrome would act any differently to windows.. (I could be wrong).
When you say it cannot run the game..... how far do you get.. like when you open the file, can you see anything? is it possible to send a screengrab (feel free to message me if you prefer)... And you are defo no running in incognito mode or anything like that?

Ive had quite a long day thinking about the game after reading more of the comments oh here this morning..

I am trying, hell im putting in some hours, to improve the game while also increasing the content. But its starting to feel like the same issue keeps coming up.. (now that I have solved most of the other regular complaints about the previous versions).

- Lack of content or to put another way, amount of charectors and locations that have no content.
- No Save file
- Game is too hard - hints are too obtuse.
- Grind

I will start with the save file.. I have no intention at this time to change the way the game saves. Sorry
Lack of content, charectors that do not have content.. and grind... I am going to try to work on these two issues with a single solution.. more introduction to a npc style quests, that can be accessed with out very high stats, will give small boosts to stats on completion and mean that more charectors at least have some starting development and stats are raised by doing these rather than grinding out the porn mag or like.

And the all important - Game is too hard..
So this is my lightbulb moment today..

I am going to introduce in all patreon version going forward from v0.4 a settings menu. I will move themes into the settings menu, and put another button called walkthrough mode.

Walkthrough mode... This is going to be a flick on/off switch where you can change the quest desc / hints from current obtuse style, to Go here, at this time, and click this style...
I am also considering adding buttons to +1 str, +10money, +1dom etc..

Hopeful this will make the game easier to play for the people who want to play that way and leave the game intact for the people who like to play that way it currently is. But also, as it will be able to be flicked on and off, the player could use it if they feel they are really stuck on something and then switch it back off.
Luckily the changes I made to the engine for this release will make doing this very possible compared to how the quest info was working on the previous versions.

Please be honest about how you feel about this possible new feature and if you think it would help solve the key issue identified.
As always, I am listening and taking onboard everything thats said, and trying to come up with solutions..
